1 star***** and **** **** took advantage of me and my wife's situation I had 2 accidents loading up to 2 total losses my credit took a heavy hit and was barely starting a new job I expressed to them how we need a car for work for me and my wife they kept telling us that Thye'll make it happen it'll be fine and after 8 hours of waiting and waiting the drew up our contract little did we know that it was the worst discission of our lives we didn't want the car they offered at first we were not happy with the annual% rate (20.15%)a ****** corolla LE ***** insisted that this car was to get us back in our feet this car is not your forever car in 1 year come back so we can refinance so I trusted them even though my own wife told me not to. Once the year came around and we went back now in better spirits we wanted to refinance since we were paying 665$ a month is crazy to us once we got there ***** and **** **** where still there and we felt so relieved, but it was so short lived because as soon as they remembered who we were things felt off, they were rude and forgot about us having us wait 3 hours just to see ***** and as soon as we asked for a refinance ***** started to work on it but he told us that heed tried with multiple banks but no one would take us at such a high rate% the rate they gave us we told him we wouldn't leave until he had something for us and it seemed like he couldn't deal us anymore because he had his boss come and tell us "we are unable to help you anymore please leave" so me and my wife traveled 1 hour and waited for 6 hours for nothing we tried refinancing with other banks but none would take us in do to having a huge gap between the car and its remanding loan amount. We were advised to have the car repoed with that interest rate we end up paying ****** for a car that was ****** used with ****** miles to it already me and my wife have been in so much stress just trying to stay above water. ******** ********* thank you.Review fromMichael E

1 starMy family and I have purchased many vehicles from World Hyundai Matteson and never had any issues until my most recent purchase on 06/21/2024. I purchased certified pre-owned 21 Kia ********** Upon purchase I was told there was a recall on the oil switch and I would need to bring the car back on Monday to have it fixed, I also notice the windshield was chipped and was told by my sales person they would schedule an appointment to have it fixed. My husband takes the car in for the recall on the switch to be fixed waited two hours and was told that he was all set the recall had been fixed. I was scheduled to bring the car in on 07/16/2024 for what I was told would be about an hour service at 10:00 am. I sat in the service area for 2 hours with know communication from anyone. So I go to find out how much longer only to be told go have a set and I will check on it for you. I returned to the service area and waited another 30 mins with no communication. I then request a manager. The young woman at the desk went and got the person who scheduled my apt for her to advise me that they had to fix the recall on the switch and it would be another 3 hours. I began to explain that my husband had already brought the car back for that and it was taking care of and to my surprise I was told they never fixed it. So my husband sat in the service area for 2 hours and they where doing nothing . At this point I am in disbelief to what I am hearing so I request the service manager. Art the service manager was introduced and I must say he was the most unprofessional and disrespectful out of all the people I spoke with. Its no wonder why his team is lacking and such a high turnover rate for advisors. The way he threw the sales team under the bus and spoke to me as a return customer was totally out of order. There really needs to be some change happen here starting with Art. After I left still with the recall not being fixed my rearview mirror fell off from them replacing the windshield.Review fromJacob F

1 starWorld Hyundai Matteson sold me a certified pre-owned 23 white Hyundai SantaFe with 10k miles & one prior lease owner. The *** # is *****************. This car is currently for ********* still has all the body damage. I drove 5 hours from **** to purchase this car knowing that it was a *** w/ a 172 point inspection. I found a cracked trim panel on the lower passenger front door & secured it w/ a nut. I figured this was a $500 part & since the car price was good, I didnt want to leave empty handed. The Carfax showed the battery was replaced twice. The dealership tested the ************ was bad. They replaced it for free but couldnt get it to upload to the ************ had to be for the *** warranty to be valid. I had to stay the night & miss work. They paid for my hotel. A few weeks later, I noticed a bunch of rust & a broken seal where the passenger rear door is welded together. I opened a case w/ Hyundai consumer affairs. A local hyundai dealership bodyshop quoted me $12,500 to fix it. The car was $28k. Both passenger side doors need replaced, painted, & the surrounding panels have to be paint blended. World Hyundai missed this on lease turn in & on the *** inspection. I asked repeatedly for the *** inspection & the dealership refused to give it to me even though its company policy. It seems like they didnt even do the *** inspection properly as I never received it. A warranty claim was submitted by Hyundai Consumer Affairs and denied. After a few weeks of World Hyundai ignoring my case managers calls and a few days of me calling, World Hyundai finally agreed to buy the car back. This process was a ************* believe World Hyundai demonstrated gross negligence by failing to find & disclose this body damage on both lease turn in and *** inspection. Furthermore, they engaged in a fraudulent sale by certifying this car w/ a clean bill of health when it actually had $12,500 worth of body damage. They even concealed it by failing to provide me the *** inspection.Review fromJavana W.

5 stars** provided a car buying experience that surpassed all of my expectations. He customized a deal for me that I didnt know was possible. 1 starThey had me to sign the contract to a 2024 Hyundai Kona telling me congrats and the co-signer just needed to sign. After you sign the contract that means the bank approved me.. Then they tell me they need a down payment. After all that it was def some funny business going on and I still have the contract now.Review fromSonia Price

1 starPurchased a Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy from the Matteson, ** location w/ the expectation that they would uphold the promises made during the sale. Specifically, I was assured of complimentary oil changes for the next three years and a spa treatment for the vehicle. However, my first encounter with their service department was appalling. After leaving my car for the spa treatment, I received notification that it was ready for pickup, only to find it untouched - not even vacuumed nor washed. When I raised this issue with ***** and showed her evidence of the neglected interior, she scolded the service manager in front of me. This unprofessional behavior was unacceptable, and despite my request for a call back, nothing was heard from them On another occasion, I was contacted by the dealership regarding an oil change due for my car. Yet, when I arrived for the appointment, I was informed it would cost $75. This discrepancy infuriated me. According to the manager and the sales associate, in ********, oil changes are only free every other "due date" because it's not recommended to follow the manufacturer's schedule. This explanation was preposterous and completely unacceptable.I left before my frustration boiled over into unprofessional behavior towards those who had initially welcomed me warmly. After speaking with ***************** who acknowledged the failure to communicate the terms of the free oil changes upfront, I declined further calls from the guest service manager, as no meaningful resolution seemed forthcoming, only excuses.What baffles me is why a dealership would deviate from the manufacturer's recommended care for a vehicle and make promises they knew they couldn't keep. Was it solely for the sake of making a sale? It's disheartening to witness such a decline in integrity, potentially deterring future customers.Is this the sales approach that Hyundai teaches their sales associates? Are they provided with training centered around standards and integrity?
