I am writing to file a formal complaint against Anytime Fitness regarding a potential breach of privacy and unauthorized charges post-membership. Here's a brief summary of the issues:Privacy Breach:I experienced a concerning privacy violation at Anytime Fitness. During an in-person visit, I obtained my membership agreement containing sensitive information without providing any proof of identity. Mind you, this was the first in-person interaction I had with the new manager of that branch. After this, I tried to get a copy of their privacy policy to see if they were in-breach of contract.Owner's Unresponsiveness:Despite prior email communication, the owner ceased communication upon my request for privacy policies. Multiple follow-up emails were left unanswered.Membership Cancellation and Active Status:During the same interaction later on to attempt to cancel my membership in person, the manager displayed a lack of awareness and told me he had no idea what a privacy policy was. The owner, responding on the same day after I signed their membership cancel form, claimed no obligation to send the policy as my membership had ended, contrary to documented proof of its active status since I still had 30 more days for my membership.Social Media Block:The gym blocked me on social media when I sought clarification when I was still member, hindering further communication. Documentation of these interactions is available.Unauthorized Charges:An unauthorized charge appeared post-membership expiration, prompting concerns about financial security.Thank you sincerely for your time and assistance.
