Unprofessional staff, all 4 of my wheels have damage after having new tires put on. Multiple chips in the clear coat near the lug area and edge of the rim. I took pictures of my wheels before taking it in for this very reason, so I have comparison pictures before and after. The manager has made countless excuses that are unrelated to the damage caused by the tech. They are blowing me off hoping that I will forget or let it go. See the attached picture, circled in orange are new chips in the paint. The wheels did have some existing damage, but circled is all new. I have pictures of all 4

Nope the damage was already there, take a picture of the whole wheel and send them back to me thanks.

I am rejecting this response because:

I have attached before and after pictures of wheel #4 showing the difference. Circled in the after pictures is all new damage caused by the tech at acorn tire. I will also leave 1 picture with the timestamp on it to show that the before pictures were taken right before the service was performed on November 19 at a 5:30pm appointment time. This damage was not existing. It is new. Heres the proof. Also, whoever is responding from Acorn please leave your name so I know who I am talking to, thanks.

      Sincerely,

Why would you not want to send a picture of the whole wheel? is there something you are hiding? no problem i can have Ray swing by your house and take pictures, does that work for you?

I have many full pictures of all 4 wheels before and after my service appointment.
And I am not trying to hide anything, nothing to hide as a business owner or manager, you should stand behind your ************* who told me that he would make this right. And also be responsible for your employee who caused the damage, he obviously needs more training. I am only able to post 4 pictures to this response portal. So Ill add the most relevant pictures first. Also, I have been very open with Ray, and we are aware that the wheels were not perfect before. They did have other damage when I purchased the vehicle. That does not give you the right to cause more damage, you are still responsible for the shabby work that your tech performed. Chips out of my paint is completely unacceptable, this will lead to corrosion of the now bare aluminum. On top of that my center cap was not installed fully, just goes to show the tech was careless and in a hurry. See pictures. Circled in green is existing damage before service. Red/orange is new damage caused by Acorn tire.

In my last message I attached 4 pictures, were they not received? I will attach them again.

just to reiterate, green circles are existing damage that existed when I purchased the vehicle, orange and red circles indicated new damage caused by acorn tire. I am only able to add 4 pictures at a time, so let me know if you want more

There is obvious corroision under the clear coat that you are pointing out in these pictures. Acorn Tire accepts no reasponsabilty for any of this damage that was caused by wear and tear. There is also other blemishes on the wheels.

The vehicle is still at the Aurora Rd location awaiting repairs since June 5th. Excuses for the delays have ranged from the store manager taking a week of vacation, to waiting 2 weeks for the machine shop to resurface the engine's heads, and another 2 weeks for them to arrive at the shop to be installed. 2 weeks of the car admittedly not being worked on. During my last phone call with ***** the store manager, he admitted that this past week the car was not being worked on due to short staffing.During these last 3 months I've reasonably relied on the various estimated completion dates of the vehicle, and I've consistently been met with unreliable communication and excuses. My business with the Aurora Rd Location was purely to correct the issues that were still present after the *************** Acorn Tire carried out the engine replacement service. After nearly 10 months from the original service and multiple configurations of engines being installed by Acorn, my vehicle remains inoperable.

Hello we are still working on it, heads came back Friday, engine is being worked on.  We should have it done by the end of the week (if there isn't any more parts that need to be ordered in to complete the job).

I am rejecting this response because:

I attempted to contact Acorn Tire before filing my complaint with BBB through certified mail and e-mail. I urged them to contact me to discuss my issues with their service and amicably resolve the situation. I received no contact from them and continued my complaint with the BBB. Acorns response to my complaint does not address my original request of a refund and is contradictory to previous conversations. In their response they mention that the Engine Heads returned on September 17th. This is contrary to what I was told by their store manager. On July 12th the store manager **** explained that the Engines heads were taken to a machining shop where they would be serviced and returned to Acorn Tire by end of week. Each following week I called for an update and was told they would be returning sometime soon.On August 3rd upon speaking with the store manager he informed me that they had received the heads back from the shop and they would be installed back onto the engine. The following two weeks the car remained untouched as they were short staffed. On August 30th when I called the location for an update on the repairs, I was given contradictory information by their service manager *****. ***** stated that they had not started working on the vehicle and were working to getting close to touching it. They have been providing misleading information and have not been transparent with the repairs. They have been given ample time to correct the issues with their service and theyve consistently stalled delivery of the vehicle. After nearly 10 months from the original service, my vehicle remains inoperable and under their possession without a reasonable explanation or estimated completion date. I am requesting a refund and delivery of my inoperable vehicle so that I may seek alternative businesses to complete the service that Acorn Tire has been unable to complete.

      Sincerely,
