TURC, Inc. charges a flat retainer fee and 50% of current assessment year tax savings. The retainer amount is to be applied toward the company's fee but will not be refunded if no savings are realized.
By signing an agreement with TURC, Inc. the consumer authorizes the company to retain legal counsel, to direct preparation and disposition of appeals, to determine if an appeal should be compromised, to accept or reject a decision at any level, whether to appeal the claims to the County's Review Board and/or State Tax Appeal Board, whether to stipulate to a reduced assessment at any level of the appeal, and when it would be necessary to withdraw the appeal. The company's contract states that the consumer's total fee will not increase as a result of employing counsel.
