I'd actually rate them a 0 if I could. I advise anyone that hasn't purchased from these crooks to never step foot on any of their lots! I have had nothing but problems ever since I purchased my 2020 explorer ST. All they were worried about was selling a car and I really wish I had never bought it now. It has had numerous recalls that they finally have a fix for, it is almost 5 yrs after the purchase date. The warranty I purchased doesn't cover hardly anything, power train really and that's it. So all the rest of the issues you gotta pay out of pocket. I just feel I was deceived when *************** sold me this vehicle, I purchased it in the evening and it's black so the only time I saw this vehicle was in the garage because they said they just got it in. So after I get this thing home I noticed marks on the driver and passenger pillars that show as if the vehicle was damaged in transit and they got it half a** fixed, and the driver door handle was also dented around. So I bring this up a week later and I am asked how I shut my door for one and no I don't shut my door with my hand on the handle because that's what the service manager asked me. So they backed right outta that really quick, and I feel my vehicle should not of been sold the way it was and still is. So it is in your best interest to stay away from these crooks. I don't feel there is anything they can do to even regain my trust just because of the constant issues I have had over the ownership of this vehicle. Constant issues in service department, just last week I had to go because of a busted axle boot it took me 4 appointments to finally get in the door all appointments I made but they were too busy or short handed or the guys leave in an hour. Total BS I'm done with your garbage dealership, I hope this review really finds you well!!!! Scratched fender from installing my battery also, Thanks alot!!

Took our car in for a scheduled maintenance and paid $1100.00+ for it. (Spark plugs, ***************************** ******************* *********** *** Filter, Multi Point Inspection) Mind you, NOTHING was wrong when we drove into ***** Picked up the car in the afternoon and drove it less than 20 miles and car made a terrible noise, pulled over and looked under car, nothing dragging but something leaking out of car. Turned car back on and *** Pressure Low light was displayed. Had to have car towed back to dealer. They told us it was a water pump which was going to cost over $3300.00. We told them they did/didn't do something during the maintenance because there is no way this "just happened". We had to get it fixed because we need our vehicle, they called the next day and said that the teeth sheered off the metal and there was metal in the engine so the engine had to be repaired which was going to cost us $5700.00. Then they called back and said that the metal had caused the crank shaft to be hard to turn so now it was a replace and not a repair which was now $5900.00. We called our friends mechanic and he along with another dealer mechanic we called both said that Gerald Ford either didn't do something or didn't tighten something which caused the chain reaction in our car to destroy our engine and they are making us pay for their mistake. We decided to have another mechanic fix it for a much lower amount but when we were coming for the car, **** told us we owed $1600.00 to pick the car up! When we asked for what, we were told it was for them to tell us what was wrong with it. So being they were holding our car hostage we had no choice but to have them fix it. When we called the general manager ***, he blew us off and said the service manager would call us which he never did. They made a huge mistake and we had to pay for it. Would never trust any of them at Gerald Ford, they will totally take advantage of you. We want our money back!!

We apologize for the timing of the failed water pump, but the maintenance repairs that were done to the vehicle in no way had anything to do with the water pump. We have serviced the car for you since you purchased new in 2014, and assume everything has been great up to this point. With ******* miles on the car, the water pump failing in not uncommon. The fact that the binding caused the teeth to shear off and go into the oil pan, thus causing the engine failure, is not common. And yes, the original quote of $5900 was given to you, but the Service Manager ended up doing the repair for you for $5000 because you are good loyal customers. We are sorry, that after 10 years and ******* miles with us, that you feel as though we can't be trusted.

I have been taking my 2013 **** Focus and 2015 **** Explorer to this dealership for the last few years, and I have had a lot of great experience. The recalls were done with no complaints, and their inspections consistently revealed minor repairs or no necessary repairs. However, I recently had an experience with a new repair representative, *****, who told me that i needed the following work performed on my Explorer immediately:- "Water pump replacement: low coolant, weep hole shows evidence of leaking" for $2,630.53 - and "Right side *** seal" for $690.55 I was shocked at the cost of a water pump replacement, but after some research I realized that this is a somewhat common problem and average price for ****'s V6 engines. However, because of the high price of the repair I decided to take it to get repaired for $800 cheaper at a trusted mechanic. ***** warned me that we should be careful driving it, even for a short distance. The other mechanic inspected both the weep hole for the water pump and the *** seal before starting any work. Lo and behold, no signs of leaking, and the *** seal looks normal. This mechanic could have easily performed the work without me knowing, but he didn't charge me anything. I've been driving the car for the last 2 months with no signs of leaks or lower coolant levels.Gerald Ford of North Aurora was going to charge me $3,321.08 for work that was not needed. I'm thankful that I received a second opinion, and I'm grateful that I now know to not bring any of my vehicles to this dealer in the future.

I bought a van from Gerald Ford. Before I went to look at the van, we agreed on a price that I would pay, out the door. I went to the dealership, drove the car (it had not been cleaned, apparently serviced, etc.) decided it was acceptable, and then they gave me a contract for almost $2000 more than what we had agreed on. I believe this is bait and switch. I started to walk away when the sales person/manager/whatever started paring down the price by $100, $300, $500. Finally, because I had driven more than an hour to look at the car and it was what I needed (a bare-bones ********* I paid $1000 more than we had originally agreed on. Two days later, when the car was delivered to my home, it still wasn't cleaned, There was food on the floor, ice cream (looked like) smeared across the front mats, the "new tires" in the list of features were obviously not, and paint that they agreed should be repaired wasn't. They couldn't find a second key, so I have to find someone to replace the fob, at the cost of a couple hundred dollars. The staff treated me like a half-wit. "Think of your happy place!" "Oh, we can't do that price, we wouldn't be able to pay taxes!" "We rely on your satisfaction!" "Congratulations on your new car! (that we lied to you about and have overcharged you for...)" And now they keep sending me emails telling me how important I am to Gerald Ford as a customer. I have texted, called, on-line chatted and emailed the company regarding these issues. They will not respond to me. The last time I called, it took five minutes for the phone to be answered, and then the woman told me that the General Manager was off that day (Thursday) but she would have him call me the next day. I asked to leave a voice mail, but she told me he would not respond to a voice mail because he is "so busy." I am still waiting. The "Lifetime Warranty" that they tout is most likely worthless. I would not trust this dealership to do any service on my vehicle and I advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle or having service done on a vehicle to avoid Gerald Ford. Gerald Ford of North Aurora is a company that will lie and cheat the customer. All with a smile on their faces. Their staff is why used car salesmen have a bad reputation.
