I will keep it short and simple. Ridiculously overpriced. We are buying a very small cabin in ************** **********. It's worth *******. We are required to get fire insurance for the purchase and we reached out to several companies and this is one of the few that "covered" the area. Their quote was $15,788.87 annually! That's $1315.75 a month! For reference our mortgage is $1800 a month for this place which is absolutely insane especially when compared to the next quote I got from a much more reasonable company which I will put later. But first here is what $1300 a month gets you. It only covers $157,000 of my $******* home. $15,700 coverage for other structures on property. Personal Property Protection Reimbursement Provision of $78,000. $15,700 for additional living expenses for up to 12 months. Family Liability Protection $300,000 each occurrence. Guest medical protection $1000 each person. $15,700 for building ********* for a reasonable the quote by KW Specialty Insurance Company Dwelling Coverage up to $237,000 Other Structures $40,000 Loss of Use $25,000 Personal Liability $300,000 each occurrence Medical Payments to Others $2000 each person Inflation Guard at 7%So total annual price is $917.27 Making monthly payments at about $76 per month.......that is a wild difference between plans. I feel like the quote by the company this review is about should almost be criminal. I should not be paying almost my mortgage monthly payments just in insurance. And to be honest I am getting insurance because I have to. If it actually burned down I doubt any insurance company will come through so I expect to have to rebuild myself if that ever happens.

After getting a homeowners quote from Allstate, they referred us to North Light Specialty **** Co. We received our "final quote" on 6/3/24, then another "final quote" on 6/4/24. They kept changing things until 6/11/24 knowing our current policy would expire 6/14/24. We were told our down payment and monthly payments would be $255.75 per month on 6/4/24. We immediately gave them our signed documents and what was needed to pay the down payment. On 6/11/24, they requested a copy of our prior insurance "declaration page". Then they came back, increased the policy by $800.00 and stated the $800.00 would be the down payment. Most people who plan on paying $255.75 can't suddenly come up with $800.00 and we were no different. Now we must scramble to see if our second choice insurance can bind coverage in 3 days. This is not the proper way to handle business or the proper way to treat people.
