Animal Control Specialists advertised humane options for squirrel removal in *****************. They were hired on 4/30/2023 by ***. The information given to all homeowners was that squirrels that live in the attic will be trapped and relocated. For 5 days we saw and experienced traumatic events of squirrels being trapped and trying to get out for 24 hours until their next trip. When Animal Control Specialists was approached as to where are they taking the squirrels because our local law enforcement is under impression that it should be few block away from the problematic area, they admitted that they killed all 11 squirrels. They stated that our *** did not sign a form asking for relocation, and *** responded that they were not provided and they did not know that killing captured animals it was the solution. What I need is for Animal Control Specialists is to advertise correctly. To tell customers what happens to captured animals. I am sure that people that feel like them that its ok to make money killing breathing creatures will still hire them. All I want is to prevent others that are against killing animals to know all facts before they hire them.I am member of the *** board for this location, unfortunately I wasnt the one to initiate the call. They made almost $1000 in just 5 short days. Building has assess to the attic internally, traps should have been placed inside, not outside- they cant prove that all captured squirrels lived in the attic, therefore they made money by capturing all neighborhoods squirrels. Forms that people have to sign about relocating should be part of the contract and well explained option. They should remove humane from their website advertising, nothing about what they do its humane.

We never lied to anyone. The fact that we humanely euthanize the animals that we catch is open information available by request or on our website. (Can be found under "About **" tab under Wildlife Policy.) If you were deceived it was by the others on your board, not by us. State law requires ** to euthanize many of the nuisance species that we capture, for others that aren't mandated it is still recommended. Translocation of wildlife has been been proven to be detrimental to the animals that reside where the released animals cause overpopulation. The released animals are not tolerated in their new environment and are continually attacked as they are pushed to new areas. This most often results in starvation, mortal injury and death by motor vehicles. Moving your problem animals to another area to make them a problem for someone else would not be ethical. I understand that you don't like the result but it is really the only viable option and we do not hide nor apologize for this policy.

I called this company to remove a dead animal under my patio deck. When I called the company I clearly explained that the nature of the job that *** also include removing some concrete near a cement stoop. They agreed to come do the job and gave a price on the phone for $265. However they NEVER told me that if they cannot perform the job, they will still charge me $125. Once they arrived at my home on May 9th, 2022 the technician visually looked at the patio and told me cannot do the job as its not an easy task to break the concrete. He did not even have the right tools to open the patio boards or to break the concrete, though disappointed I was okay with him walking out. Then he comes back with a **** for $125 claiming I need to pay just for him to come and inspect. First of all, they were not upfront with me about the charges and secondly they did nothing to help me out. When I refused to pay, they mailed me an Invoice to my home (Invoice No. 22-5051). I called them up on 5/17/2022 to dispute the charge, they offered to reduce the charge to $75 but I refused to pay anything as this is not a charge I was informed and its a highly unethical practice of click and bait. I request BBB to please take action.

I'm not sure why he would think a trip to his home to assess the situation would be free of charge. Telling him on the phone that we can't help would be free. I incurred expenses sending a technician to discover that customer had made it impossible to get the animal out from the area that he trapped it under. We offered to lower the fee , which he refused. Since he is stealing my services, I'm not sure what he expects BBB to do for him. Maybe you you get him to pay his ****.

    Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: They never mentioned there will be a charge to just come and look at the problem which was already very well explained on the phone. If there was a charge they should have been upfront about it and that would have given me an opportunity to decide if I want the services. And its funny he mentions stealing from him because thats exactly what hes trying to do. I want the charges be canceled as simple as that. This is a very shady business.
