My girlfriend and I went to the ************** location to get a diamond engagement ring. The sales lady we spoke to was the assistant manager, *******. ******* showed us a couple of rings within our budget. There was this 1 Ct diamond ring that was selling for a reasonable price. ******* told us we are lucky they have this ring at this time, even though this ring is of lower quality (for the price) but it presents shiny and flawless looking.When my girlfriend was trying on the ring, she really loved the ring.She asked me to take pictures of her wearing the ring but the saleslady said the pictures do not show the quality of the rings, so we didnt end up taking any.When ******* first brought out this ring from the back, she said one of her coworkers was going to buy the ring for themselves but since we were there first, she can sell it to us. The ring we bought looked flawless and decent. We ended up buying the ring and paid in full that day. The ring was taken to be resized. No certificates (of the diamond) or any paperwork were given to us to take home other than the payment receipt that day.My girlfriend and I went to pick up the ring yesterday. As we are inspecting it, my girlfriend noticed there was a visible black dot on the diamond.My girlfriend and I were quite sure that the ring she tried on that day versus the ring we recieved were not the same.We recalled not seeing the black dot as she was there trying this ring on for at least 20. If there was a black dot, we would have never bought it in the first place.We suspect the store sales switched our ring after we paid and kept the one, we tried on (possibly for internal employee purchase?).Now we are stuck with a very ugly engagement ring. They are probably going to write a standard copy paste reply like they do to everyone here but we are frustrated and we want to return the product or exchange for a product that is similar to what we wanted.
