      In the month of July I was approached at a friend's home by two men with the company Nordic Energy. I was told false promises about the energy services provided. The workers either lied to get a sale or were not fully aware of the changing rates on the energy costs. Once we have received a letter regarding our new service, we are seeing rates can vary month to month. I have called numerous times. Each call is met with an option to leave a voice-mail for a return call, which never comes. I want to cancel my service, but they will not make contact to allow you to do so.

      In October 2021 we signed with Nordic Energy to provide our electric service. At that time we agreed to a fixed rate of .0536/kWh. Recently we've noticed an unreasonable increase in our electric bill. After dissecting our current charges and pulling records from the last year, we've come to realize that Nordic Energy has increased our rate by more than 300% to .216/kWh. This was done without notice. Due to this drastic increase, our electric bill has sky-rocketed to unfathomable, unaffordable amounts. Initially, when we saw an increase in our bill the last few months we assumed it had to do with increased costs. At that time, our bill had significantly increased, but after our most recent bill, which was far greater, we realized there was more to it. While we understand commodities fluctuate, Nordic Energy is charging us more than what is reasonable and did it all with a bait and switch tactic, luring us into a contract with an enticing introductory rate and drastically increasing without notification. This is not a mere matter of inflation and increased rates on Nordic Energy's side. Upon further investigation, we've been able to find multiple suppliers offering long-term contracts with fixed rates at .07/kWh, a third of what we're currently being charged. We want a refund for ***** July and August when we've been charged .18, .20 and .21/kWh respectively. This is price gouging and Nordic Energy needs to be held accountable.

      Nordic Energy has researched the circumstances of this complaint. The account was enrolled on 10/14/2021 via the internet. The supply started on 10/19/2021 with a two-month introductory rate of $0.05699/kwh of the initial 36-month service agreement. The customer was billed at the correct rate described in the T&Cs that were emailed. A service end date of 8/22/2022 has been provided by the distribution utility. Nordic attempted to speak to the customer regarding the complaint but was not able to, a voicemail was left. The customer was billed correctly per the T&Cs of their service agreement. The intro rate was below market and the current market rates are at historic highs so that transition resulted in a substantial price change. Nordic will rerate the last three service periods as a courtesy accommodation. A check will be issued and mailed to the customer. ********************** has added the account information to our internal Do Not Contact List. Nordic Energy believes it has researched and addressed the concerns expressed in this complaint and acted according to the customer's request.       Scam artist representative came to my door and portrayed himself to be an eversource employee, I mistakenly let him see my eversource bill, he the wanted me to sign something to switch suppliers, I did not sign, but am concerned that he still has my account number

      Nordic Energy has called me every day for months. When I answer the phone, there is no one on the other end, and then after several seconds the call disconnects. I've tried to answer hoping that I could be put on the "do not call" list. They call very early in the morning and late at night, disturbing sleep.

      This company kept sending young people to my home to get me to change my Electric supplier.After the third person I gave in and signed on January of 2022. I was told that my Electric Rate was high and that Nordic would never charge me more than ****** per kwh and that I would be saving money on my monthly bill. I did sign an agreement on the sales person phone and never received a copy of that agreement.So for the first 3 months my rate was as they said ****** kwh starting in April my rate went up and every month their after it kept increasing so they lied to me. Just received my August bill and it was $392. for a small 2 bedroom apartment which is ridiculously high. I looked at the rate and its now at ****** kwh I was so irate how will I pay for this on my low income.... They had assured me over and over that this would not happen, that even if this company's price goes up but it would always be a little lower than the others and it would definitely not skyrocket. Well that's exactly what happened. Its more than doubled the competitor's rate which currently its at ******. So I googled for their contact info I saw they has so many complaints. How can they get away with scamming so many people who are struggling to pay their bills....?When I called to cancel and asked the customer service rep for a $200 credit, he was very rude and gave me an attitude and said we can not give you any credit all I can do is cancel your contract without penalty and hung up on me! I was like what just happened they scammed and lied to me then are rude when I called.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me at this point.

      I maintain the people they send to our homes to convince us to convert over to this company are giving us false information. Why would anyone make any changes if they knew that they would be paying a lot more money for the same service...?

      I recieved a letter from Nordic Energy saying I chose them and I have a contract with them. Lies,all lies. I have never even heard of these people and I want them to cancel my so called contract that I know absolutely nothing about.

      On 8/12/2022 around 250 pm there was a random knock at the door from a door to door employee from Nordic energy services stating they wanted to see one of our energy bills and my gf at the time was the one to answer and showed him the bill and he said he could knock off some random charge he saw on the bill for us and my gf said no thank you multiple times and he finally agreed to leave after like the 5th time and Ive seen all these scams from this company on here and want to make sure this company never comes to my door again. And to make sure it doesnt scam me using the the billing information my gf had showed them. Its very annoying and scary and this is not the way a business should act.

      I received a very large energy bill from Peco Energy. When questioning ****, they stated that my bill was so high because my third party energy provider, Nordic Energy, was charging an extremely high rate. The issue I have with this is that I never renewed my contract with Nordic Engergy for 2022 so I've been billed by Nordic Energy, even though I don't have an agreement with them. They are billing me twice the rate that Peco Energy currently charges for the same energy.

      Greetings,

      Nordic Energy was in contact with this customer prior to the submission of this complaint. Nordic had received correspondence regarding the extension of the customer's contract from the agent covering the account. Nordic acted on that information. On speaking with the customer, he clarified that he did not wish to extend but to terminate his contract at the end of its term. Nordic immediately took action to cancel the account and return service to the customer's utility. Further consideration of the customer's concern and the mistaken information regarding status lead to discussions of refund to the customer. and ********************** agreed to the amount requested by the customer. ********************** sent a refund check to the customer for the agreed amount on 8/18/2022.

      Nordic believes it had acted in good faith on available information and on learning the information was inaccurate, took immediate steps to rectify the situation and make an accommodation for the customer's concern. Absent further information, Nordic considers this matter addressed.

      I had signed up for a 2 month contract with nordic as my electricity supplier at ***** per kwh, and to go to current market rate after that period. I was billed for **** per kwh which is higher than any current market rate even at the highest point of the gas/utility crisis of 2022.this is a scam and fraudulent as i have asked them for any documentation that would show how they came up with such an astronomical figure. in the *************, we have not had anything that high ever listed and this is after i had canceled my contract with them and they still continued to supply electricity at this scam rate for an additional month before informing my electric company that i was terminating the contract.

      The sales rep ** came to my door right before I was leaving for work and said he was with the ***************** and needed to reset my meter because the utility company was overcharging me. He then switched me gas providers!! Outrageous, in surprised this is legal in this country. I want no part of this company, every phonecall and email I make has been ignored, nobody even answers.

Although the representative claimed to be from the gas company and needs to reset my meter, which was a lie. Simply ****** his name, he's all over the internet scamming people. I am happy to be removed from Nordic business. Thank you. I hope others can be resolved
