    On December 16th 2023 The Board Room was to issue a refund in the amount of $650 back to my credit card. The funds were in despite with *********** and *********** told me that once the funds were refunded that the dispute claim would be closed. The company never refunded the amount, when emailed and questioned it they said the company they use Shopify wouldnt refund the amount because it was being disputed. The dispute has been closed for 5 weeks now. I gave the company 3 weeks to get my fund refunded back to me and they still havent. If funds are not refunded back by March 1st I will be filing a lawsuit in our small claims court and filing a police report for theft which I will also include pain and suffering charges for the ordeal/the damage to my credit due to the funds now over drafting my CC which Ive been able to pay down half but not all that has overdrawn the card.

    The customer ordered two items from me. One was a set booster case for $650 and the other was a deck display for the remaining amount.  I shipped the items on time and **** had some issues getting there in a timely fashion.  The customer opened a dispute on the charge on his card. When he did that, shopify withheld the money from the order from me and no longer allowed a refund option until the dispute is resolved. He then reached out to me to try to get a refund for the set booster case. I said if he shipped them back I would refund it.  He did send them back and I tried to refund on shopify which is why it's status says refunded. In the notes of that order though it says the refund was denied because of the open dispute. I tried working with the customer and being transparent with what shopify's customer service was telling me. You can see that in the screenshots they attached to this BBB complaint. In the customer service conversation with Shopify they told me it could take 180 days to resolve the dispute. I believe it has only been a month or two. Additionally, when you file a dispute for a charge they will debit your account the value of the charge. So he already received the money from the entire charge while I'm still out for the money for the entire order even though he has the deck display which at **** point was for no charge since his card debited back the full amount of the order.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Company is trying to state I received funds for my return which knowingly is lying. I have all documents sent to seller showing dispute was closed and the amount that was TEMPORARILY given by Credit One was taken away, which means the Seller still has my $650 of money that was supposed to be refunded on December 16th 2023 but has not received. I have contacted Credit One and they have no data of any inbound refund coming from Shopify not The Board Room. I had submitted the original complaint with Credit One when the package I had ordered disappeared and had no shipping status for nearly 2 weeks. I made arrangements with seller that upon arrival that I would have to return partial product due to a family loss adding financial burden, the refund was to be $650. CC company stated that once a refund was issued to the CC that they would close the dispute, this refund never came, which was indicated by Shopifys comments. Dispute has been closed since January 16th 2024 and since then the seller has claimed they arent at fault and its Shopifys problem and its out of their hands. Seller stating I have partial product for essentially free and that I received a full refund is a lie and should this go to small claims court, will be used against them in my filings.
