    I have prepaid 3 months for my daughters dance class. October 2022-December 2022. My daughters last day of dance was November 20th 2022. I sent *** (the owner) a text on November 29th *************************************************************** December when classes resumed after break. I checked the account in January to notice there is $115 credit to my account for December tuition not being used. I then reached out to *** via text message asking if I could stop in to receive the $115 credit. *** stated that the $115 would be used for when Mali wanted to start class again. I let her know that its not guaranteed that my daughter was starting dance again and I would like the credit back instead. She then stated that tuition is non refundable. There are no policies on tuition in the website, matter of fact there is NO policies on the site at all. I then checked ********* no policies there, I then checked every email from Elysian Studios. There is no disclaimer saying tuition is non refundable. I would like my $115 back as its rightfully mine.

    The policies of Elysian Studios are in accordance with ******** state laws. Tuition may be refunded three days after payment has been made. In this case after payment was made and three days passed, our classes were held and services were rendered. The client asked for a refund over 3 months after the payment had been made, and we hosted those classes knowing that her student would be in them. In these classes we need a certain number of students to host a class and she was apart of that number. She made the payment on September the 21st 2022 and asked for a refund on January 11th 2023. When she told me she would not be attending in December she said she would be returning in February. Because of this, I offered to leave the tuition money on her account for her to use when she came back. I could have charged her tuition for December and not left any credit on her account because she had already entered into the agreement of taking dance through December by paying 3 months of tuition in September. I was trying to go out of my way to help and left the credit on her account. I had to send two separate messages in the month of December to hear anything back from the mother and that is when she told me her daughter would not be coming back this season. I am happy to leave the credit on her account if she wants to come take classes at a later date. However, a refund is out of the question in accordance with the laws in the state of ********.
