  Despite repeatedly telling the door-to-door salesman that we weren't interested and even having a No Soliciting sign on our door they persisted. They even went so far as to ask our neighbor to text us their contact information, to which we reiterated that we weren't interested. Then, they rang our doorbell yet again. I finally texted the provided number to demand they stop immediately. Extremely unprofessional behavior, which seems consistent with the BBB and ****** reviews I read.

  1st did an excellent job replacing our roof and repairing water damage from the old roof. **** was especially helpful navigating the insurance, adjustor, permits, scheduling and billing. Total billing matched settlement perfectly. Recommend them highly!

  Working with 1st Home Improvement was an excellent experience. We received fantastic service from everyone we encountered at 1st Home Improvement. Our salesman, *********************, was professional and attentive. He under-promised and over-delivered, and we were very pleased with his service throughout the project. For the roof replacement, ***** and his crew were also professional and courteous. We were especially pleased with their clean-up efforts after the installation was completed. The next phase of the project was for some interior repairs, and we were equally pleased with that work. We will not hesitate to recommend 1st Home Improvement.

  Sales guy couldn't give me an estimate for my windows unless I was willing to sit through an hour to hour and a half presentation and because I wasn't willing to make a decision right then and there for replacement of my windows. Slimy, gross. He said call when I was ready. Well, what happened to quoting and letting a customer think about it? You wasted your time coming to my house and measuring my windows? Do you guys like to make money? No one likes a high pressure salesman. **** NEVER consider this company ever again. Gave me the creeps bad.

  Did a good job, Employee who visited the site are all good, but very poor in cleaning up the nails and screw, had a flat tire and paid $450 at dealer, tire not repairable, according to management flat tire happens after a month of the roof/gutter replacement, Alarm showed up on my car dashboard week before replacement per dealer if the alarm will go away, been driving my car for days with the alarm, meaning is slowly deflating and even I was at the dealer my car still have enough air to drive around, I send them lots of picture of all the nails/screw that I found around the house..to this day I still found nails around the house, this is after a MONTH already, I will never recommend this company to anyone!!!

  Hi ***:

  It is our company's standard practice to magnet walk each property after the completion of the project.  After the initial walkthrough we received you complaint and sent your sales representative out to the property to do another walkthrough and cleanup.  Your Sales ************* has stated that you were home to witness the additional effort to clean you property focusing his efforts around high traffic areas.  After this was completed, you signed a certificate of completion stating that you were happy with the work.  The certificate of completion specifies that you have 72 hours to report any additional complaints regarding your satisfaction with the work completed.  Roughly after one (1) month we receive another compalint regarding the nail in your tire.  Darien Illinois was hit with a large storm and a lot of construction is occurring throughtout the entire city.  As you are aware in the construction business we cannot 100% guarantee the cleanup.  We hope you understand our stance was that we cannot be held responsible for the tire when additional cleanup efforts were provided, and a certificate of completion was signed stating your satisfaction.  With that being said our customer satisfaction always comes ****************** so your Sales ************ will be reaching out to you to fairly resolve the issue....

  I needed a roof replaced following hail storm damage. 1st Home Improvement did a thorough review of our roof and submitted the claim information to our insurance company and got us approved without a second inspection as their work was thorough and indisputable by the insurance company. They were thorough and had the roof replaced within one day. I would recommend them to anyone who needed repair/replacement work done to their home.

  First Home improvement is the most professional home contractor I have done business with. I was informed every step of the way, who would be coming, when, and what the timing for our new roof would be. Calls were returned. Their timetable was accurate, finishing on time, and the owner personally inspected the job, finding a few details that needed attention, which were quickly taken care of. The best major home repair experience I have had!

  We had a horrible experience !!!! They put on a new roof on our house I July *************************************************** our Master bedroom and master bathroom., the tape between the ceilings and outer walls were lifting . My husband contacted the owner ***** in January of this year and after several back and forths, and after threatening to call our lawyer in JULY we finally got them to take care of it !!!! I may also add they had to paint both rooms and did a horrific job of that too !!!! They definitely should not be in business ! There is so much more I could add !!!!!

  The homeowner had a roof replacement by our company back in 2022, their isnurance carrier had approved to replace the roof and rejected to replace the existing skylight on the dwelling property. We had highly recommended that they should replace it with a new one and ** had rejected due to the fact that they did not want to pay any extra money from their own pocket. Based on that we had replaced the roof and installed the flashing around their old skylight. Job was completed and ** was satisfied. However, this year we had received a phone call from ** regarding a leak from skylight that caused a small damage to the Master bedroom. Again we had recommended to them to replace the skylight and they insisted on rejecting to replace it. After several phone calls, and standing behind our professional workmanship, our company had decided to help the homeower and made an agreement with the husband to pay out from our company's own pocket for the new skylight (paid for material and labor) and replace the old one. In return, husband was supposed to take care of the Interior painting in the house. After the installation of the new skylight, we received another a phone call from the wife threatening to contact her attorney and insisting that we should do the interior work despite the agreement that we had made with her husband. In order to avoid that, we had sent a painter to take care of the interior paint. We had done our utmost to satisfy the ** and nothing was satisfying to the them, after all the expense that we had paid from our own pocket, ** posted the complaint on BBB website. Upon request, we do have a copy of the insurance carrier estimate that shows their rejection to replace the skylight. At this moment, we cannot help the homeowner any more...

  I would highly recommend First Home Improvement , They are a reliable , ****************** company. They took care of us from start to finish . Our home had wind damage from the recent summer storms, and we started our search for a roofing company. They were at our home during the insurance inspection of our roof , and explained all the steps to us. Then on the day they did the roof job ,their team was there early and started the job on our roof . By the end of the day we had a new roof as well as their team did a great clean up job after they were done. Thank you so much to *********************** and the team for not only great customer service , but making sure that everything was done right !!!
