Not only does this daycare force me to pay ahead of services rendered, but forces me to pay for days we are told by the center, not to come in on. On 10/5/22 I was verbally told by the center to keep my toddler home for 24hrs due to a low grade fever and runny nose. We tested for covid and it was negative (emailed results to director ****** *******), but were still told to stay home on 10/6/22, even if results were negative. I asked if the Thursday would be credited and Alyssa said "no." She states "No I'm sorry, the hospital has done away with any type of covid pay/credit. Anytime there is an illness (diarrhea, fever etc) DCFS has theier own set of rules that says they have to be out a certain amount of time before they can return, even pre-covid." I replied "The amount of time removed for illness may be dictated by DCFS, but whether or not the client is charged when FORCED to miss services is not. I will be placing inquiries." Being forced to pay for care when forced to stay home over a minimal illness is Extortion.

Please see the attached documents that Mrs. ******-
******* has signed regarding care for her daughter(s) at Methodist Family Child Care Center. Our handbook policy, that she signed, states exclusion from care for 24 hours if they display illness, as well as proof a negative covid test before they can return. They are financially responsible for any time missed whether vacation or sick time. She is welcome to use a vacation day to cover that day her daughter missed if she doesn't want to pay for it out of pocket. At the beginning of covid, we did offer covid credit when a child tested positive and had to quarantine for multiple days, this isn't the case for single day exclusion. She signed paperwork back in 2019 when they enrolled and that includes the illness policy and procedures along with the financial agreement
