Around april 9th 2024 my 7 year old ferret was ill I needed money to take her to vet she passed waiting . I got ahold of heights finance in pekin il the branch manager ***** ******* said she could help . I took check stubbs from full time job and at that time part time job with dors. My car sticker was expired so had to get it renewed. By the time I went back to heights the check stubb from dors was to old so I had to get a newer onwhichwas already much lower than the last check stubb . When I brought the newer one in I told her that my dors income is going to end cause woman I take care of needs more experienced help she said I quote” lets gets this pushed through so we can get you your money” even though she knew my income was changing she then said I got to pull some numbers to get it to work and said would pay off aspire credit card and I would get less money in my pocket.I was not in my right frame of mind cause of the death otherwise I never would of done it knowing my income was dropping. End of November I fell 191.00 behind and she threaten to garnish my wages I called heights corporate office and the woman there said she would note I would pay the 191 on dec 11 which I did and that I would pay the next bill dec 17th payment on dec 23 or 24th she told me not to worry about the garnish of wages letter to work cause I made a arranement . Today a certified letter came to work sent yesterday saying they were going to try to garnish my wages even though corperate woman said letter wouldn’t be sent send cause I made a arrangement. The branch manger knew my income was going down and still pushed this loan through at 32 percent finance I feel this was illegal for her to knowingly do this to me and would like **** to go forward with lawsuit against heights finance of pekin for this .i feel it was churning to do this to me knowing with her knowing my income was going downInitial Complaint

I refinanced my loan and it was paying off another loan with another business. The other business has not received the money. Heights says it been cashed but they won't share a copy of the deposit with other company for the signature on back. Heights will not talk to other company. When I call them they say the manager is in a meeting and that the higher ups are looking into it. It's been 2 months and still don't have an answer.Initial Complaint

They withdrew money from my bank account without my permission. They did it on a Friday at the end of the day on a holiday weekend. I couldn’t get a hold of my bank until Tuesday until it had already went through. I called heights financial and they told me that there was nothing they can do about it now because it already went through. It caused me an overdraft, I called the corporate office and they told me a district manager would get in touch with me within a day or two. It’s been over a week now I’ve not heard anything from anybody. They had no permission whatsoever in anyway shape or form to take money out of my bank account , they have not put the money back in there and they have not refunded me the overdraft fee.Initial Complaint

I have not been able to work since November 2022 due to health issues. At that time I was sent paperwork for myself and my Dr to complete, the person I worked with at Heights sent me both STD and Unemployment paperwork to complete and I did what I was told to do. Both plans had been paying on my loan and after a year Heights came back and told me that collecting on both policies was not allowed to happen. At that time, they paid back the unemployment policy approximately $900 and then told me that I was behind on the loan payments because they added that amount back onto my loan. I have been dealing with Heights trying to get resolution to this issue and nobody is giving me any response other than two policies shouldn't have been paying out. I feel this error was on their part and is unethical to reverse the funds and now i'm being penalized. And because this was an error on their part, I feel they should be the ones to cover that approximately $900.Initial Complaint

The manager at Corbin ky is falsifying her time. She comes in late, she leaves on break all day long and then takes a lunch. I’ve come in for help with my accounting and she’s rude to me and doesn’t know how to help me. I’m not sure if she even knows how to do her job. Every time I come in she’s either gone or they’re on her phone. She’s lazy and doesn’t know how to be a manager.Initial Complaint

If I pay my monthly payment earlier than the due date, plus additional payments, the overall balance should decrease quicker. They should not just subtract the payment. When paying early it lessens the interest and more should go towards your principal. They just subtract the payment, do not respond to emails.Initial Complaint

I was desperate for help so I turned to heights. I shouldn’t have. It helped but then I got into an accident and had to have my jaw wired shut. I was off work for 2 weeks. I was late on the payment and then the payment came back. I paid the late fee and made up the payment. This happened a couple of times. Then my brother was injured in a work accident and hospitalized. Due to my financial situation I closed my bank account and high tailed it to South Dakota to help him. I didn’t move there but was there for a couple of weeks. I emailed the branch and explained what happened. They called me demanding payment I told ****** I was still in SD caring for my brother. Her response “OK….and?” Told her I no longer had a bank account. She proceeded to lecture me for 10 minutes about needing a bank account to make payment to her branch due to problems in the past making payments. She was rude and almost yelling at me. I tried to explain that I closed the account because of my financial situation and was going to bring in payment in person when I got home on Jan 6th. Again she lectured me about not having bank info. This makes me even more leery about having a bank account now especially with them
