      On December 28, 2022, I regrettably hired Robert Kramer *** services with *********************** as my attorney for family law issue. I paid a $1,500 retainer and submitted the required retainer agreement. *********************** performed poorly on my case (she cited family issues multiple times), but never issued a bill or itemized statement for services. Ultimately, I terminated the arrangement and proceeded with another attorney who has made actual progress in my case. Despite multiple requests through myself and my new attorney, no bill or accounting of services has been provided to date - now 5+ months later. I asked for an itemized bill for how my retainer was applied as I believe no more than 3-4 hours was spent on my case. In this case, I am due a refund. With no accounting of the legal hours spent on my account, I am filing a complaint as I believe this is an ethical issue for a law firm to not meet the retainer agreement, as well for very suspicious billing practices. It was stated that they were trying to find out why I didn't get an itemized statement. No bill or accounting was provided to my new attorney when he requested it. I am entitled to an itemized statement of how my retainer was applied and a refund if the entire retainer was not utilized.
