On 6/28/24, Moving Guys was hired through the UHaul app to help us unload our belongings at our new home the following day - Saturday, 6/29/24. We originally requested 3 helpers for 2 hours, at a cost of $350. ***************************, the owner of Moving Guys, called me Saturday morning to say that he was short of guys that day and very busy, but would try his best to send us helpers. At 4:30 PM, 2 helpers arrived and worked for an hour. I expected to be charged for 2 hours as the minimum time, but only for 2 helpers ($250) instead of 3 ($350.) The UHaul app generates a payment code to give the moving company whenntge job is complete. I expected ***** to edit the number of billed helpers, then submit his bill to ***** to get paid. HE DID NOT.My credit card was charged $350 by *****, who then paid ***** at Moving Guys. When I saw the charge, I called ***** several times before he took my call. He quickly offered to send the $100 overcharge directly to me via Zelle. I have requested the payment from him within Zelle 3 times, but no response. I continue to call, and leave messages. He answered my call this week and promised to send the money, but did not. *** reached out to ***** for help. They transferred me to their sister company named MovingHelp, which apparently manages customers hiring movers - all within the UHaul app. Neither UHaul nor MovingHelp would help me with this problem. The MovingHelp people told me that they couldnt do anything because they already paid MovingGuys. I reminded them that THEY charged my credit card, not Moving Guys. Still would not help. *************************** at Moving Guys has basically stolen $100 from me, and refuses to refund my money.UHaul and their MovingHelp subsidary should have refunded the overcharge to my credit card and dealt with their overpayment to Moving Guys.I just want my $100 back.
