Though out the last year the company I work for used Paylocity. I have since been unable to get information from them like paystubs as it was all electronically deposited. I also have an issue with how they calculate federal taxes withheld as I made over $15,000 last year and they only took out $96 in Fed taxes where it should have been over $1,400 withheld. Now I owe the *** over $2000 I wish to receive the amount of $1,400 due to the *** back in order to be able to pay the ***.

In July of 2023 ******** court sent my employer a garnishment they sent me a copy when I informed them that because I had a child support garnishment that took over 25% that the garnishment was uncollectable and instead of taking money out of my check they were supposed to send an answer to the court stating the amount of my child support. Paylocity lied to my employer and started taking the money from my check anyway I have since been to court and had the garnishment dismissed and the money was returned to Paylocity. Paylocity has kept my money total amount of over $3200 from that garnishment sometime in august a 3rd garnishment came to my employer I also took that to court and had it dismissed and am due a refund on that case of close to $1000 both courts ************** and ************ have shown me that the funds were returned to Paylocity but they will not speak to me or return my money

Paylocity has made a mess of my payroll. After several years of being unhappy, I finally left them and went with another payroll processor. Once I indicated to them in writing that I was no longer doing business with them, they tried to extort over $1,500 in "billing fees" from me that I do not owe. I have proof of payments from my bank.In fact, their statement shows that on November 22, 2023, my balance due was $0. However, suddenly at the bottom of that statement, it says I owe $1,524.22.My bill should be $140 per month plus $3 per employee processed.Even if I never paid all year, which I did, the total bill would be around $1,680 plus the $3 per employee, and I currently have 7 employees. I have paid over $2,193.83 to this company in 2023 (well over the amount I should have been charged). Additionally, they continue to attempt to debit my bank with erroneous charges resulting in hundreds of dollars in fees over the past several months. On Monday, I intend to look deeper into this with my bank because I may have paid even more since I can't view the wires in online banking.I have proof of each of my payments from my bank, including wire transfers and debits. Paylocity continues to insist that I owe them money.I have requested a new account manager and asked to speak with someone higher up many times, but I have never received any follow *** from their company.I have fired them and gotten a new payroll processor. Currently, my desire is that they are looked into for fraud and also I would like to get reimbursed for overpayments and bank fees if possible.

Paylocity was my payroll company for 2 weeks in quarter 2 of 2023. I fired them due to repeated mistakes and their lack of basic payroll knowledge including how to handle S corp medical and auto taxable which is payroll 101. I returned to my prior payroll provider. Paylocity then filed my Q2 941 and RT-6 at zero dollars which has created a mess with the *** and the ****************. My current payroll provider ****** paylocity has to do amended returns to zero dollars correct this issue because my current payroll provider can't amend another companies returns. They refuse after trying for months to get this corrected. Due to their gross negligence of their duties, I will now have to pay an accountant to straighten this out. I'm hoping with your help to be able to have paylocity do the corrected/amended RT 6/ 941 forms so this issue can be resolved. They have been grossly incompetent on many levels.

      12/19/2023

      Hello,
As we have explained with our previous communication on this issue. If we filed a zero dollar return with the agency for payroll data that was run in Paylocity this would not correct the issue with the tax filing as you would that replace any filing that is needed for payroll data that was run. Since we have at this time provided the Quarter end information that was filed for what was run in Paylocity in Quarter 2 you would be able to provide the quarter filing information to the new payroll provider for them to file what was already reported and what was processed through them as an Amendment for the quarter to resolve the Q2 for 2023.this is a standard processed in the industry to take the payroll data from the prior provider and use that to file the quarter when the client moves to a new provider in the middle of a quarter filing. At this time, we have provided what we can to address this issue and can provide the payroll data for what was processed in Paylocity during that time, but we are not able to correct the issue with a zero dollar filing.

I am rejecting this response because:  This is the same answer I have been getting for 7 months and the issue is still not corrected.  I feel this is just another effort to stall correcting this issue.  The only acceptable response for me is that paylocity corrects the error they made since my current payroll company cannot amend another companies filing and provides proof of the amended RT 6 and 941 forms so I can resolve this issue once and for all.

      Sincerely,

My complaint is in regard to the way the Paylocity system calculates the amount of federal taxes being taken out of my checks. In the 2022 year I ended up not only owing but having a penalty added when I filed my taxes. It was on me to be checking that the appropriate amount was being taken out and I failed to do that. However, once I became aware that there were some checks where $0 were being taken out for federal taxes I paid attention and had my HR Manager call Paylocity. There isn't a phone number where employees can call on their own apparently. They said that it was an issue with my W4, so I talked to a tax person and they said it was an issue with payroll. That there should have been a lot more taken out of checks each month for federal taxes. I was advised to have an additional amount taken out for the 2023 year while I figured out what was going on. We are at the end of the year now and the issue is still occurring. I contacted out EAP ********* services and they encouraged me to file a complaint.

Thank you for providing the name of the company you work for. Since Paylocity provides Software for your company to use to provide ******* services to employees, we are not able to speak to you directly. Complaint: 20989612

I am rejecting this response because: I have already spoken with our HR Manager, as I said in my initial complaint. They said there is nothing that they enter into paylocity regarding tax information, including withholdings. If we are not able to enter information and it is taken directly from the information we provide then there is something wrong with how taxes are being calculated and withheld by the system. My expectation is that there is someone who looks into this and figures out why there isn't enough or any money being withheld from my checks for federal taxes.

      Sincerely,

Paylocity did not provide services provided in our contract and my corporates state WH taxes were not filed properly/on time. The customer service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. I have spent countless hours fixing Paylocity's mistakes, and they have made no effort whatsoever to rectify the situation. They have threatened to continue to bill me even though they are no longer providing service and were absolutely in breach of contract by not filing my taxes on time. This company is not reputable and I would run in the other direction if they approach you. Payroll is nothing to be *** about. This is a serious matter that affects individual people's pay as well as company taxes. The fact that they are so lazy and you have to go through multiple channels of people to attempt to get anything done is absolutely terrible.

We have used Paylocity for 10+ years. I asked if they helped with ***, and they said yes, and proceeded to do the proper paperwork and amendments. At no time did they ever state that there was a fee for this service, so I assumed this was part of the services they provided their clients. Fast forward, and our CPA notices a debit out of checking account to **********************. I called and asked what the debit was for and was told that it was for the amendments they prepared for the **** Again, I was never told there was a fee, nor did I sign any paperwork agreeing to the fee.I have been emailing Paylocity (Specifically a Manager ************) and have had no success. He initially responded with " we can offer you a discount of the fees", but why would I take a discount on fees that we unauthorized? He has since ignored my requests. They will not provide me with my contract, the authorization from me to debit our account, nor the transcripts from the calls we had regarding the *** to see if at any time they disclosed the fee.I am sure that I am not the only client they did this to. I would advise anyone who used Paylocity for the *** to review their accounts. This is a deceitful practice.
