Since March 2021 I lived at a condo in ********************* - *****, **. Payment goes through B & A Property Group LLC. Our lease ends April 30th 2023. My ********** went to management(November 2022) to break our lease on January 2023, giving them months to find a new occupant. They said I was responsible until April, especially if no one was found(this is in the lease) * may be true. Note* I did pay the $250 fee to break my lease. Reasons you can break a lease however are, (Illegal * unsafe ********** * ******* * Safety). Now, our reasons for leaving. Around Aug or Sept 2022, cops on a regular occurrence were showing up in the back area where our kids would play. This happened often, we just stopped going out back. Is this unsafe? Second reason, * this should all be documented in the work orders ********************* have on file. Our AC unit downstairs was leaking for around 1-2 months during summer 2022, * this leak went underneath the living room floor * kitchen where my children run and play. The water seeped up through the floors, with parts of the floor becoming uneven. We told them all about this, * this even damaged our nice carpet, but they told us that's why you have rental insurance, nice, but ok fine - it's just a carpet. They did nothing about the water/floor, it had to dry on its own. The leak was eventually fixed on the 6th visit. Is water * mold underneath the floors a safe environment? Lastly, the heat(fall22 until Jan23), I'm assuming because of the water * mold, when the heat did run it would cause headaches * congestion with some dizziness in the morning. Is this safe? I think this is a perfect reason to break my lease, but being courtesy enough to give them a heads up 2 months in advance. Now, they're charging me $1940 on January23 until April 30th 23 until my lease ends. Is this fair?
