We bought a truck from Drive Now. There are several issues with the truck that are safety concerns and things that were not disclosed prior to purchase. We were in contact with them within 48 hours to let them know we wanted to return it. They are not returning any of our communication. We have tried to contact them through email, phone calls, and texts. We sent them an invoice, as they requested, outlining why we wanted to return it. There is at least $3500 in repairs that would need to be done to the truck to make it safe to drive, and that doesn't include any engine work. A few of our concerns are: the trunk is completely rusted underneath, part of the lift kit is cracked, the bearings need replaced, the tires need to be replaced, and the truck bed has been welded together. These are just a few of the things we are concerned about regarding safety and things that were not disclosed to us.Initial Complaint

I seen a *** online that I wanted to purchase so I when to the dealer. Purchased the vehicle but a few days later realized it isnt the year of the car that was online. Called the dealership to explain that this isnt the year of the car that was online and then noticed the miles didnt match up which further let me know this isnt the *** that I signed for. After days of someone telling me I would receive a call I demanded to speak with someone that would help. Of course they want to say all sales are final but this is not this vehicle I signed for. On top of that where is the other vehicle that I was supposed to have. All the information is registered to a car that doesnt exist at this point. Seems like a scam to me because they trying to make me keep this SUvInitial Complaint

April 30, 2024, I bought a 2010 ******* Genesis ***** from Drive Now, located in **********, ********. When test driving the car it had an engine light on, with Drive Now agreeing to fixing the ******* before completing the sale. They "fixed" the car, yet the check engine light came on again during the drive home to ************. Paperwork from the sell shows Illinois law states This vehicle will be free of a defect in a powertrain component for 15 days or 500 miles after delivery. The dealership, Drive Now, was told of the defects within the 15 days and the 500 miles. In fact, they were made aware within 24 hours. On May 1st, Drive Now stated they replaced the oxygen sensor the first time and requested that I get diagnostics done in *******. I sent the diagnostics performed by ***** to the dealership. Diagnostics read that I need a timing chain kit, a camshaft sensor, oil change, and also for my coolant to be replaced. After waiting 10 days and 2 failed attempts for Drive Now to pick up the car, I took the car to Drive Now to be serviced on May 11. On May 29th, Drive Now said it was running great and no engine lights turned on. It was shipped back on May 31st. Yet within hours, the *******s engine light came back on. I have taken the car to a ******* dealership here in ************. They provided diagnostics and photographic evidence that the car was never fixed. It was delivered to Drive Now for a second time on June 24. The car has been in their possession two times now to be fixed. It is now going on 3 months and we have not come to a solution. My concern is that Drive Now is not providing the required state law consumer warranty. My questions that remain are: 1-When will my ******* be fixed? And 2-What assurances will I have that the car will be fixed correctly, after not being done correctly the first time?Initial Complaint

Purchased my vehicle on January 17, 2024. on the way home my check engine light came on. I called the dealer was told to bring it back in they will check everything out. I brought the car back in the next day, I was told it needed a catalytic converter After having my car for a week changing the catalytic converter I received my car drove it home the next day the light came back on called them again, was told the turbo charger went out took the car back to the dealer to have the turbo charger replaced and also had a cracked coolant reservoir tank. They had the car for a little over a week picked the car up and noticed the coolant reservoir tank had not been repaired and the check engine light came back on, took the car back for another week. I was told the repairs were complete What is drove it for about 45 minutes heading home Check engine light came back on called the dealer back again and informed them I also took it, and had it examined by , another repair shop that I trusted he examined it told me The coolant reservoir had a hairline crack and headed to be replaced which was $414 and also that the turbo charger needed to be replaced which would be $2700. The cost of these repairs in addition to the $5300 I put down on the vehicle as a down payment. I explained to him the turbo charger had been replaced. He suggested I take it back to the shop took my car back to the shop again they had the car for over a week again when I picked the car up drove home check engine light comes on again its now March 1st just getting my car back and the check engine light is still on.This place should not be in business. The vehicles they are selling are no good. They fix them up just enough to get them up off of their lot soon as you get those cars home your check engine light is on and you are out of 1000s of dollars. This has been the worst car buying experience I have ever had and Ive purchased many cars before in the past. They should not be in business total fraudCustomer Answer

This establishment practices car swindling. We purchased a vehicle early January 2024. Delivery took over three weeks once payment was sent. Tried to put gas in as it only arrived with a 1/4 tank but that resulted in gas being dumped everywhere at the gas station due to a gapping hole in gas filler neck due to corrosion. We had to purchase a new gas filler neck to be able to put gas in the car. Two days later, while driving the car home, the rear passenger wheel snapped off at the hub severing our brake line due to the advanced decay of the vehicle, which put our lives in danger. We were lucky enough to pull over without causing an accident or injuring ourselves. Had to get the car towed as it is no longer operable. Have made several attempts to contact the dealership as this fell under their warranty but was unable to have any success. The manager called me the day after the warranty was over trying to put in a poor effort into making me feel like they will be helping us with the car but refused to give me his direct line for further contact and follow up. Have tried even more times to reach him and our sales person to get a resolution but have been ignored each and every time. We are at the point of wanting to return this vehicle and get our money back. The contract is technically voided as the car is unable to be used for the purpose of the purchase as a commuter vehicle due to it's severe decay, corrosion, and current state of damage.Initial Complaint

On September 17, 2023, I purchased a vehicle from Drive Now, I went down to the establishment and test drove a car and I purchased car, they shipped it too me on a Monday September18, 2023. The car drove fine, 5 days later the light came on in the dashboard and I immediately reached out to the establishment and inform them of the issue they told me to shipped the car back on my expensive which I thought that I should have to ship it back cause I only had the car for 5 days and it was still under warranty, but to get it fixed I paid ****** sand it was shipped to the dealership they had the car for a week. They sent the car back and informed me fixed the problem. I again had to pay ****** for the shipping. I drove the car for one day the car light are back on and the car was acting the same, I called the dealership, and they came and get the car again and I haven't hear from them, I had to call from an unknown number to get in touch with the owner, again, he told me that they are fixing in the car nor did they tell me my car was shipped to somewhere else for repairs, cause they couldn't fix it. Now it's going on 3 weeks I have no car, no title, and they won't give back my money and all I'm getting is told thy still working on it. I told them I would like my money back and now no one will talk to me.Initial Complaint

Truck was obviously a buy and dump. Truck delivered today. No mention of bad paint job on drivers side. Sub par bondo job on passenger side. Orange peal in several areas. Rear differential is leaking, and theres an manifold exhaust leak. I hope thats what it is. Rear calipers are about rusted out. Might be the reason why when it was unloaded the e brake was froze up. ******* cover ripped to shreds. I was told I could take it off lol. New tires I expected but not another 2 to 3 grand. Honesty is all I expect out of people in life and time and time again the world lets you down. I was hopeful that I could buy another vechile from these guys because I need a daily driver. Not now not ever. Truck was to be my backup and runs to *********** Listen, I know when I bought a 17 year old truck I was going to incur some repairs but Ifeel like the truck was presented as a ****** mile gem and not for what it actually is. A lot of repairs and a cover up.Clean car fax but repainted ?Car was sold as is but seller did not disclose any repairs
