Purchased a refrigerator in August of 2022 and the refrigerator never worked. They will not give us a refund nor will they exchange the appliance. They have sent out a repairman 5 different times and the appliance does not work.Business response

She is under the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer has approved a refund for the purchase price. She's working with the manufacturer now because they need her information. We cancelled the repair due to the refund. The case #******** with Frigidaire.Initial Complaint

I purchased an over the range microwave on Oct 22, 2021. It had to be shipped from another store so it was not picked up until Oct 23rd 2021. It was then loaded in my car by an employee due to the weight. I got it home took it out of the box to find massive damage to the side (unable to even hang due to the damage) I called immediately and spoke with ****. I was assured this would be taken care of. Waited all day Monday with no call. Went in store Tuesday and was told he would have to speak with someone because the purchase was "marked as history" no one else was there to help. So I was told I would be called Wednesday. NO CALL I returned yet again to the store and was yet again given the run around on the return. Still wasn't able to return on Wednesday. Told I would be getting a call regardless come Thursday. Thurs 5pm still no call. I returned back to the store and was greeted with "they called you didn't they" with my response of NO and I want this returned today. After sitting there for 25 to 30 min I was then told they would return my microwave and refund my card. It's been 7 days and still have not received my refund. Total purchase was 491 dollars. Have all invoices of proof along with managers signature and date.Business response

On 5/3/21 I ordered 4 appliances (gas range, hood, dishwasher, fridge) online from Dick Van Dyke for a new construction home. Early 9/2021 DVD delivered the dishwasher, fridge, and hood. The fridge and dishwasher were delivered unboxed. The fridge was damaged and was sent back for a replacement. The hood was delivered in an undamaged box and DVD did not require/suggest opening the box to inspect the item. Later in September the gas range was delivered unboxed and was also damaged. At the time the hood was to be installed it was removed from the box and found to be damaged. I contacted DVD for a replacement and was informed that because I contacted then more than 30 days after delivery there's nothing they can do, essentially refusing to refund my money or replace the item. The hood was $600 & DVD is taking no responsibility and refusing to provide any support to the customer. 3 out of 4 appliances damaged is poor service. A replacement or refund is needed to resolve this issue.Business response

The refrigerator was delivered on 9/29/21 and it was accepted. She received the stove on 9/23 and she reported the damage to the stove on 9/24. The cosmetic pieces have been ordered. She waited over 30 days to report the damage to the hood. We contacted the manufacturer on her behalf and the delivery was accepted. She waited to open the box. The manufacturer denied the claim because the damages were not found at the time of delivery. Our 30 day return policy is on our receipt.Initial Complaint

I purchased a GE dishwasher from DVD. It was delivered and delivery guys left as I was taking wrap of of the unit. There were dents on the unit. I immediately called DVD. They offered me a cash back on the damages to the unit. I did not want the unit as it appeared something inside broke loose an struck the inside of the unit. I eventually asked for a different unit. DVD did get around to offering me another unit in white instead of the stainless steel. The representative told me they have one but it also has dents but not highly noticeable. They sent it out as stated it had dents but not as noticeable. The price of the unit went up so I was asked to pay the upcharge on the unit. I declined an asked for a refund on the damage to the unit as an appearance allowance. ***** agreed to no up charge an a $75.00 refund check. Check was to be issued in 2-4 weeks. Well now 9 weeks later no check & no one would let me talk to anyone in charge.Business response

My parents bought a refrigerator from them. One year later it breaks down. They come out and fix it. A year later, the same part breaks down and it's been a nightmare to get the correct part to fix it! They have an LG Refrigerator, and the part was scratched out, and a GE part was ordered instead! Supposedly the right LG part was ordered, but technican came to install and STILL NOT THE RIGHT PART! ?? I live with my parents, I care for my mother. We've been living out of 3 coolers for a month and 2 weeks now! We still don't have a fridge and have not heard when they will be back to install the correct part. We've spent about $200 on ice to keep things from going bad from our fridge. I had to throw out some of my frozen things because I just did not have room in my two deep freezers in basement. They're supposed to be the best and yet, my parents refrigerator has had nothing but trouble since they bought it!Business response

A repair was made on the compressor and control board on 11/1/21. She notified us on 11/2 that the unit was not cooling. She then contacted us on 11/3 and let us know it was working. She cancelled the service appointment that was scheduled.
