My truck was taken here for the green warranty for a internal motor issue. Upon completion of the work i have found bolts that do not meet the standard requirements of gm manufatcure to fix my truck the correct way. After finding these and trying to get back in to dealer ship they are requiring me to spend more money to fix the bolts and parts that they fixed. They tell me each fix is video recorded. Ive asked for the video which i have been denied. Im not here to get money. Im here to get my truck fixed the correct way with the correct parts to meet the minimum requirements of gm. These bolts are not head bolts they are grade 5 metric bolts with washers. (Some have 1 some have 2 some have 3 washers) i am no longer allowed to take my vehicle to freedom chebrolet they are saying my warranty is now void due to the bolts. I am not good at typing if someone could please call me i have all the pictures and dates and documentation for what has been done from my end. Ive spent over 300 for my truck to be fixed and run worse after leaving the shop.Business response

We contacted Mr. ********* to come back to address his concerns . On Friday 2/7/25 at 9am guest came into the shop. While in the shop the technician agreed to replace the bolts with bolts the customer will supply. The guest acknowledged that the bolts used were universal and in no way compromised the job and in fact the bolts we used were properly seeded from the manifold to the cylinder head as intended, but the guest would feel better with different OEM bolts. Guest will return at his convenience. According to the guest his concerns have been resolved.Initial Complaint

I bought a new 2020 Kia Soul and has 100,000 warranty on it. I took it to them to get it serviced because the engine quit on me on November 7th. They would not honor my warranty and would only do it on an extended warranty. The three things they fixed on it did not honor the warranty on it. I would like for them to honor my warranty on my vehicle, repair my vehicle and answer the phone when I call them.Customer response

I don't want to pay three different deductibles. There is a powertrain issue going on with my vehicle. I don't want to pay for those parts that don't fix the issue.Business response

Our technician currently have a diagnosis on Mr ********** 2020 Kia Soul as having electrical issues. The 100k mile manufacturer’s warranty coverage is limited to powertrain defects. Our technician is currently in the process of following the manufacturer’s guidance to correct the issues and plan to stay in communications with Mr ******** to obtain approvals for any potential expenses he may incur to repair the vehicle as requested.Initial Complaint

On December 26, 2023 I picked up my chevy equinox and it was a 2021 with low miles, I was quickly shown the excellent car maintenance, after taking it to chevy to a different chevy than the one in IL I was shown multiple time this car went into the shop for the something.... After my car out of no where lost power and wouldn't go faster than 15 mph. Never offered me a tow back to the dealership, now finding out two weeks later when I gave my chevy equinox back to the bank. I found out my fuel pump failed me more than once. But this almost had my dog and I stranded in the middle of I15 you sold me a lemon. I made a complaint I took it to you, I had to wait for an appointment for 2 weeks and nothing was done. You failed me, I owe 20k for a car that I don't even own.... If you pull up the camera on which I know u have you see the quick moment of my sales man pull it up and flick threw it and never shown me. Your provided me a unsafe car and you knew it... I would rather have cashed this car. I got pulled over from that trip 3 times from ok state police for driving to slow. I love my 2500.00 find on fb market place. I will never buy a other car from you or a car that comes from your unsafe mechanics and who failed to protect us. I buy a warranty and no protection at the end. Your a thief.Business response

We are sorry to hear that Ms. ****** ***** has had issues with the vehicle. The Chevrolet Equinox that was sold to her was a local trade-in and has a Clean Auto Check report, which indicates that it has a good history. Additionally, this vehicle underwent a thorough used car inspection process before it was sold.
Our records show that the customer brought the Equinox in for service on 1/25/2024. However, “we were unable to duplicate the reported issue during the inspection, nor was Ms. ***** able to demonstrate to us any drivability issues. “. Since that service visit, we have not received any further communication from the customer regarding the issue in question.
At this time, based on the information we have, we are unable to provide any additional assistance. We are committed to providing quality vehicles and service, and we regret that this situation could not be resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Please let us know if you need any further information.Initial Complaint

I went to Green Dodge dealership in Springfield, IL to have my car fixed last June & they charged me $9369.29 & they still haven't fixed my car entirely. I was told there was an issue with my AWD system which they said they can fix & they repaired part of the rear axel & now they tell me there's an AWD sensor that's on extended backorder which needs to be replaced which they want to charge me an $3K for when it comes in. I also called Chrysler corporate regarding my problem & they tell me they're not an authorized dealership with Chrysler/Dodge anymore due to high level of complaints against the dealership. You can reach me at ************ for details regarding this matter.Business response

Re:
******* **********
2015 Chrysler 200
Service dates 7/10/24 and 8/5/24
Mr. ********** brought his vehicle to our service department on 7/10/24 stating he was hearing a noise, and the vehicle was driving funny. The technician found front and rear sway bar links, rear struts, rear driver cv axle and drive shaft all in need of replacement. Guest was informed of the diagnosis and advised by our service staff that we would not advise investing this amount of money in a 9 year old vehicle that had over 180,000 miles as the cost of the repairs significantly exceeded the vehicle's value. Mr. ********** opted not to trade the vehicle for a newer model and approved for us to proceed with the repairs which were quoted in the amount of $9369.29. Mr. ********** was given a loaner to drive at no charge as a courtesy while his vehicle was being repaired. Repairs were completed on 8/3/24 and the vehicle was returned to guest.
Mr. ********** returned on 8/5/24 with a concern of the AWD light on. Technician found that there was a failure in the power transfer unit. Again we prepared an estimate for this concern which is completely unrelated to the prior work performed, and again suggested that continuing to spend significant amounts of money on a vehicle with such high milage was not our recommendation, and that Mr ********** would be well ahead to trade the vehicle vs continuing with repairs. Mr ********** chose to leave a deposit to order the needed parts, and was provided a no charge rental vehicle to use until the part arrived. Mr ********** was also advised at this time that the needed part was on backorder from the manufacturer and that there was no eta available as to when the part would arrive. On 10/24/24 the needed part was still not available. 10/28/24 Mr ********** picked up his vehicle and was refunded in full for the part that had not arrived.
Mr ********** statement that we are not an authorized service center is not true, as well his statement regarding high number of customer complaints. Due to the fact that Mr ********** approved all repairs that we completed on his vehicle, there is no additional refund that we can offer.

I am rejecting this response because: I was charged $9369.29 & my car wasn’t fixed completely. This issue had been going on since June 2024 & was told my car be fixed & I didn’t want to purchase a new car unless it was the ultimate last resort. The dealership replaced various components on the rear axel of my car & when I got the car back the “check AWD” light lit up on my dashboard which wasn’t on previously so I returned it to the dealership who now tell me it’s a sensor issue which they want to charge me another $3,000 when the sensor comes in which is on extended back order right now.

The AWD light is a failure that occurred after the repairs were completed. While this is unfortunate timing, it had nothing to do with the repairs that the customer was initially concerned with, approved to be done, and our dealership performed.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
All the repairs done are somehow related to AWD system from replacing the rear axel, stabilizer bar, etc. I was told initially there was an issue with AWD system that’s why my rear axel was making a sound to being with so I had the repairs done & now to be told it’s an AWD sensor issue & have been told the sensor isn’t manufactured anymore since the car & have also been told the sensor still being manufactured but they’re on extended back order. If I had known it was going to be this long & costly I never would have the repairs done & just went ahead a purchased a new car.Initial Complaint

Purchased a 2016 Dodge Caravan in September of 2021 with 25k miles. Around the wk of March 24th 2023 the transmission went out. Had the vehicle towed to Green AFTER they told me it would be covered by warranty. Get the vehicle to Green for them to then tell me since I didn’t have it serviced with them it probably won’t be covered. We were never once told it needed to be serviced there or we would have purchased elsewhere. As we are over an hr from the dealership. They said I need to provide all oil change receipts. Oil changes has NOTHING to do with a seal transmission and I have had several mechanics confirm this even the last one who did the oil change. Green told us we would have a loaner and still have yet to receive that. And it’s April 5th now. They expect us to pay for a new transmission. This one has 77k miles on it and we owe 20k on the vehicle. They salesmen, the warranty team the whole company was out for a quick buck. We want this made right for our family!Business response

Thank you for giving us an opportunity to respond. *** ***** has lifetime powertrain protection on this vehicle. The warranty company has requested records of all maintenance performed since the purchase of the vehicle. We are still waiting for some of the records from the customer as soon as we have all the maintenance record then the warranty company will make their judgement.Initial Complaint

Since I’ve purchased the vehicle sept 16 2019 I have taken it back to dodge for problems they always state nothing was wrong with the vehicle. Oct 14 I had vehicle towed to dealership for heater hose repair service department fixed repair states they drove the vehicle that nothing else was wrong with the truck I made a payment of $585.95 was given my keys and a receipt upon trying to get my vehicle and go it would not start service had tech come see what the problem was they were unable to get the vehicle to start! Tried to apply gas it wouldn’t start. They stated each time they did multi point inspections and everything was found to be operating as designed. Few days later they say my head gasket is blown and they can’t do anything for me warranty department will not cover so they are leaving me for another repair that happened while they had the vehicle I’ve spoken to service manager **** And advisor ****** several times and the owner ****** no one has given me a loner vehicle or repaired my vehicle. Tow truck driver had no problem starting the vehicle before the hose repair . I’m still financing the vehicle what is owed is $13,100 to ***** ********* ****. I would like the vehicle repaired or my payoff balance to be paid. My concern is how was the vehicle running before work was done and after they stated it was complete and everything working fine that the vehicle just doesn’t start anymore and the engine is blown? Warranty department is stating missing maintenance documents when each stated multi point inspection suppose to had included attached documents so if I need anything they would have recommended I needed certain things done. Without a vehicle mother of 4 can include documents if not already included will mail in documentsBusiness response

Green Dodge is certainly sympathetic to ** *********** concerns however due to the fact that most of the factory recommended maintenance has not been performed at our dealership and ** ********* is unable to provide receipts for having the required work done elsewhere we are unable to replace her failed head gasket under warranty. Because the vehicle was purchased from our dealership in Sept 2019, and strongly taking into consideration that our technician failed to diagnose the head gasket as being the underlying problem when the vehicle was first towed to us, we would like to offer to take 50% off the labor charges to replace ** *********** head gasket. We truly regret the situation that has occurred and feel that our offer is very reasonable given the circumstances.Customer response

Purchase Date 12/31/2020 (2020 Ram 3500- New) Mileage now- 35,000 Rust on tailgate reported over 30 days ago. After multiple communications with the staff and after taking it to their body shop of choice for a quote, they told me today, the manufacture is only willing to pay xyz and the cost of the body work is abc and Green Dodge is not going to pay the difference, so they are not able to help me. Told me to call another dealership that is 97 miles away. This is not the first issue I have with Green in the last 6 months. They had the truck for over 3 months for a fuel pump recall repair.Business response
