I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my experience at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls - Tinley Park, IL, on December 22, 2023. My visit was marked by significant delays, unprofessional conduct by the attending physician, Dr. **** and unnecessary charges for services I did not require or benefit from.Unprofessional Conduct:Upon arrival, I waited for 90 minutes before being placed in an exam room. After an additional hour with no contact from Dr. *** or any medical staff, I inquired about the delay.Dr. *** entered the room without introducing himself or identifying his role, raising concerns about basic patient care protocols.Throughout the consultation, Dr. *** exhibited a dismissive and annoyed tone, disregarding my concerns and failing to provide appropriate reassurance or address my anxiety. When I expressed my lack of trust due to his unprofessional conduct, Dr. *** dismissively stated that I "did not need to trust him to be my doctor." **** response is unacceptable and undermines the essential trust between patient and physician.Unnecessary Charges:Despite informing Dr. *** of my recent blood work (performed within six months), he insisted on ordering additional tests, significantly extending the wait time and incurring unnecessary charges.Ultimately, Dr. *** prescribed the same medication I had initially requested, raising questions about the necessity of the additional tests and associated charges.Request:Given the unprofessional conduct and unnecessary charges associated with Dr. ***** care, I respectfully request the following:Reimbursement of all emergency room and physician fees related to Dr. ***** services on December 22, 2023, to both my insurer and I.A thorough investigation into Dr. ***** conduct to ensure adherence to patient care standards and professional ethics. I am open to discussing this matter further and can provide additional documentation, including witness statements, if needed.

Leadership from the Urgent Aid have reached out to the patient directly and resolved the issue.

I am rejecting this response because: an apology is not acceptable, as I request all charges be cleared and/or refunded.
Rebuttal to business response: I spoke to one leader whom does not directly supervise doctors, and the issue was not resolved.

    Sincerely,

I went to this Uchicago Medicine at Ingalls- Tinley Park and Uchicago Medicine at ********* in May of 2022 to use their ****** Aid centers for an earache . I have health insurance through Aetna, and they recommended the Tinley and ********* as providing locations for urgent care. After receiving care, each facility charged me a $175, which is the copay for an emergency room visit. My normal surgery care copay is less than $50. When I called the Tinley Park location, they stated over the phone that they are an emergency department and hung up on me. I attempted to dispute the charges with *****, which they denied. The websites of Uchicago Medicine at Ingalls- Tinley Park and ********* locations both list their *********** centers as ****** Aid online. Nowhere do they mention providing ******************** services, yet they billed me for and ER visit. Several people on ****** reviews listed the same problem.I wasnt aware of the better business bureau until today, so I am filing complaint now. I believe Medicine at Ingalls is misleading their patients/customers regarding their ****** care services, leading them to bill at higher prices as emergency department visits.I was hoping to recuperate some of my money, but if that is not possible, I am hoping they will end this likely fraudulent practice
