    On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, ************************* of Creative Painting and Handymen came to my home to provide an estimate for trim work in two rooms, a hallway, and around a door on the lower level of my home. It should be noted that ***** had previously installed drywall and painted in the same areas. After he came and measured, he called me from his car to quote me a price of $1150 for materials and labor. We shared text messages to negotiate a price of $775 that did not require ***** to paint, caulk, stain, or put down tarp in the work area. He agreed to a price of $775 for supplies and installation. During our text conversation, ***** asked for a $400 mobile payment to cover supplies and that he could start the work the following morning, September 7, 2023. I sent him payment of $400 and agreed to the start date. On September 7, 2023, ***** had not shown up by mid-morning. I texted him at 10:16 AM inquiring him of his arrival time. He never answered. I texted him again at 12:52 PM to see if he still planned to show up. Once again, no reply. On Friday, September 8, 2023, I texted him at 8:50 AM notifying him that I planned to use another firm to do the work as he never showed when agreed to and was not responding to my texts. I also requested he send me the $400 back as there had been zero communication with him and I had little confidence in him following through with his commitment. Additionally, I called him that day and his phone went to voicemail, which was full. My last text to him was on Monday, September 11, 2023, requesting the $400 deposit back as I had no plans to use him to do the work even if he did respond. The nature of this dispute is a down payment for services that were never rendered. He has made zero effort to resolve this issue.

    INTERIOR PAINTING: paint living & dinning room , small foyer/hallway to bedrooms, all three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and hallway leading to basement, vent covers. Painting was walls and ceilings. Install dinning room light fixture once chosen. price for painint was $2,000.00 the materials (ie, paint, brushes etc) was additional $900.00 which I chose the color and contractor picked them up and paid for them. The work is not complete, he didn't hang the light I purhcased, he hung one he selected ****************** contract attached) if any work was performed not listed on the contract an agreed charge was discussed and paid for the additonal work, which was a thersold to be replaced once he removed carpeting. Today date made numerous phone calls and text and have not had any return call. The painting was completed by 11/4/2022 and he stated he would be back on Monday 11/14/2022 to change the light fixture and finish the thersold he has not contacted me or showed up to do either task, which I have paid for. I held up my part of the contract however, he did not. I want the work completed as agreed upon since he rec'd full payments.
