  Stole $500 from me for a used wrong size battery that I had to pay him cash for because his boss does not let take credit cards after 5pm. While I blame the company for allowing their employees to steal from people in need I also blame the insurance companies for contracting out roadside servicers that have not been vetting. The fact that someone would feel so enfolded to steal from someone knowing that they will have to answer to someone is just sad. This company needs to be removed from all insurance companies roadside services plans. If you use your insurance companies roadside service and you are contacted by SMS of Wheeling IL please refuse their service and request a different provider. Save yourself your time, money and aggravation.

  Called for service at 11:30 this morning, still waiting for assistance. Called at 12:45 and said he would arrive in 30 minutes. Changed tire myself at 2:30. Neighbor helped.

  Awful business! If I could give them a 0 rating I would. My car died they came out and replaced a dead battery with another dead battery!! They put a bad batter in my car and charged me 324 cash. If they come to help you just send them away.

  ZERO- do lot use this company. They have the rudest and most unprofessional staff. Filed a complaint with my insurance company about them.

  No star would be better. Waited five hours Called one time, they do not answer. No show. Stay away from them.

  When I called *** this was the service provider that was sent to me. The first serviceman came within ***** minutes. First he told me that the car was dead and not even a battery would help. Then he realized he had connected the tester wrong and that a new battery WOULD help. He then told me he needed to go to the bathroom and I told him to drive to a nearby restaurant. He said he couldnt wait and ran behind some houses across the street. Extremely unprofessional and hes lucky someone didnt call the police. He told me he would go get a battery and be back in 40 minutes. After waiting a long time, I called *** again and they called this person ****** said he was on his way. He told me he was giving me a GREAT deal even though I was paying what he quoted he. He said he would email me my receipt, etc. I still have no receipt. I called *** last evening to complain. I called the phone number of SMS and he said to give him an hour. Its been over an hour and still nothing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!

  Ordered roadside assistance through insurance for a dead battery jump at 8:15. Received text confirmation the company would be here in an hour. After an hour and 15 minutes called and was told the technician tried to call, no one answered, so they didnt deploy a tech. No call noted in received calls. Now it would be another hour wait. ETA 10:15. At 10:15 called the company to confirm arrival promised would be here by 10:30. At 10:45 will no tech, canceled service due to a necessary MD appt. Horrible company. They play games and likely take more lucrative calls than what insurance companies offer.

  Zero. Do NOT use, ever! My car broke down and insurance sent this guy. He demanded $250 cash/zelle/Venmo up front. Stupid me, I should have known better, but was stranded and needed help. He took the money and then disappeared. No tow, no help, no refund. Total dishonest SCAM. Reported to police. The worst human Ive ever met

  My car would not start this morning, December 27, 2022 . State Farm Roadside Assistance tagged SMS Roadside Services **** to come out to jump start the battery. The request went in at 6:42am and they finally showed up four hours later, around 11:00am. I would not be leaving a bad review just for that since it's December 27 and pretty darn cold so I get they were probably quite busy. What I am leaving this review for is that the young person that came out tried to charge the battery and the car still wouldn't start. He tried twice. Told me the battery was fully charged and so something else must be wrong with the car. Practically shrugged his shoulders and left.Now State Farm send out a tow truck so I could get my car to a repair shop. Just to be sure, the tow truck driver wanted to double check the battery since the clicking noise sounded like a dead battery. Sure enough, after bringing out his much more hefty charger and making the connection, the car started on the second try. So I wasted a whole day off of work by the time everything was said and done, because SMS Services can't train their people properly on how to use a battery charger!

  Christmas Day this company accepted a Bid to change my flat tire. I was told atleast 5 hours. Five hours came and went and no one showed up! I called at 9pm and left a voicemail no one called back. Now today 12/26/22 I received a text message stating that the job was done. It wasnt done! After reading the reviews it seems as this company is repetitive with not showing up! I will never recommend this company and if I ever need roadside again I will make sure I advise whoever I call not to send them!
