    I called to request an estimate on garbage disposal repair. They sent someone out the next day. Plumber was here for 5 minutes and then said its broken we need to purchase a new one. I was charged $105 for the visit. I was told on the phone the estimate would be free. I also see on the website that they have a repair guarantee. No charge if they cannot repair or if repair is unsatisfactory. I offered to pay the gas to come out, the $5 truck charge, they wage for the employee (who I was told makes $25 per hour) so $20. I was told that was unfair. I was screamed and cursed out and could also hear the other staff cursing me out and insulting me in the back which was unprofessional and extremely upsetting.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. 

    The business stated in their response that they were given a credit card to a closed account. This is incorrect. I have a credit card statement showing the $105 amount was charged and paid in full. I willingly offered to pay the $5 truck fee, $5 for the plumber wages, and $10 in gas to reach my home. The staff member on the phone confirmed that their plumbers do in fact make $25 so $5 for 5 minutes to tell me my applicance is broken is more than fair in my opinion. I was under the impression that I was receiving an estimate. When I called originally to make the appointment I asked verbatum if "someone was able to come out and assess what's wrong". If there was a misinterpretation on their end then I apologize. According to their website they do free estimates, there is no clarifying verbage anywhere about what issue/applicances they do not offer estimates for. That should have been clarified over the phone when I made the appointment by their staff. I am requesting a reduction in the bill to $25 or a full refund. 

    They also stated in their response that I "laughed at" them several times. This is simply incorrect. I did my best to maintain a professional and calm demeanor despite being name-called, cursed at, and interrupted frequently. The unprofessional conduct of their office is just as off-putting as their billing practices.
