This started in may of 2023 when I originally reached out to shipsigma to help me with auditing our existing shipments, the salesmen assigned to me was quick to say, yeah, easy - we can do the audits but let us negotiate a new contract. He was very aggressive in his push into contract negotiation services and this is where shady and predatory business practices begin. This is where they make the majority of their money - for hardly any work. They pitch that theyre all ex-insiders at ***** and *** and that they have all sorts of proprietary data (which is just your data we pay them to have our data?) to assist in the process - this was not the case whatsoever. The contract negotiation contracts they push you tinto also happens to also be 3 years long. Meaning, they will invoice us weekly for 3 entire years, which in our case will be $200,000+ for MAYBE 8 hours of lazy work. This is the biggest "consulting" scam of all time. To be *****, the contract negotiation services provided almost no value:-You, personally have to do all the work, I changed every negotiation email as not one was up to par, the email suggestions including misspelled words, poor grammar and were lazily written.-I personally had to find the *** contact after 5 min. on LinkedIn when I was originally sent a person not even in our market by SS. You would think insiders would have a good contact to start with?-I negotiated portions of the contract entirely by myself without any input from the SS team as I started to catch onto the scam.-Our ***** rep told us the only reason we got these new rates was because of the years of relationships we built with them. Which is why I imagine we never pushed *** whatsoever during this whole ordeal.-How do we even know we got the best rates if they never wanted to negotiate *** on rates? That was the whole selling point?I cannot help but be frustrated with myself and this entire situation to be honest I feel mostly taken advantage of.
