I went to a meeting to lower my payments. They wouldn't give my id back when I asked for it. 5 to 6 hours later ******* said she was able to lower my costs and get more points. Now they're taking out almost double the amount. I'm going negative in my accounts and my credit score went from 700+ to 500. I looked it up, they set up an entire credit card that's maxed out. I've complained multiple times to them, they aren't helping. I'm a single parent WITH NO JOB... They knew this because I repeated multiple times that I'm a single parent and could barely afford the first Wyndham account that was offered. The entire time I was held there, I continued to tell them I was ready to go. I was on vacation and still a little tipsy when she wouldn't let me leave I told her that and she continued to say she's getting the managers approval to lessen my payments. When I left after about 6 hours, she said my payments were less and I had more points and was now VIP. She lied, I'm going into a huge debt now. They need to be held accountable and take off whatever the new plan was. I was deceived. Now I'm struggling, trying to make rent and other bills. I need help, this isn't right.

RCI *** is requiring me to contact my Resort in ***** directly, when for years, since we bought the timeshare, we could deposit our week for trading with RCI, ***. I have tried calling Egypt with the three numbers RCI USA has given me along with two email addresses, I either dont get a response, or whoever answers the phone does not speak English. I have asked the various customer service agents in the ** to let me speak to a supervisor, but they just tell me a supervisor will tell me the same thing. I have already paid my maintenance fee and feel there is no where to turn except to BBB. My account # is ********** week **. I would like to be able to deposit my week for trading every year with RCI USA so I dont have to go through this every year trying to contact Egypt.

Could you ask the BBB representative that contacted you for the resort email and phone number, she said the resort would contact me so she must have been in contact with ****** Resorts. I have several email addresses and phone numbers for them, but either they dont answer the phone or dont respond to my emails. I mentioned this in my complaint to BBB.

Attached is my statement from **************** indicating my payment of $279.00 to RCI for my maintenance fee on 03/19/2024.

Thank you for following up on this. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against RCI regarding their unethical and misleading membership renewal and cancellation practices. My membership ID with ********************** is ********. My recent experience with RCI has left me extremely frustrated and disappointed, prompting this appeal for assistance in resolving this matter.I initially signed up for a free trial membership with RCI. At no point during the sign-up process was I adequately informed that my membership would auto-renew. I recently received a letter from RCI indicating that my membership would be renewed and that I would need to pay $170. Concerned about this unexpected charge, I called RCI today, June 14, 2024, at approximately 3:01 PM, to cancel my membership.During the call, I was informed by the RCI representative that I could not cancel my membership unless I first paid the $170 renewal fee. This condition seemed highly unreasonable and appeared to be a tactic to coerce payment. After a lengthy deliberation, I reluctantly agreed to pay the fee, with the understanding that I would immediately proceed with the cancellation of my membership. After making the payment, I inquired whether the cancellation process could be completed electronically. The representative assured me that I would receive an email with the necessary steps to finalize the cancellation. Indeed, I did receive an email, but to my dismay, it required me to print, mail, or fax a cancellation form to RCI. Additionally, the form stated that my membership would be automatically renewed on 06/30/2024, if the cancellation process was not completed in time. This effectively means that if my mailed or faxed form is delayed or not processed promptly, I would be liable for yet another $170.This process is cumbersome, outdated and deliberately designed to create obstacles for customers attempting to cancel their memberships. Given the circumstances, I feel that RCI's practices are deceptive and unfair, designed to exploit customers.

When searching listings on RCI.com, they falsely advertise the option to EXCLUDE "All-Inclusive Not Required" and still show "All-Inclusive (pre-pay now)," and they have been notified dozens of times about this issue and refuse to fix the problem. That being said, I want to book one of these resorts and have RCI pay the fees for false advertisement if the problem is not fixed within 7 business days!

The website has been having issues for a very long time and every time they say that next month it will be fixed and they ever fix the issue. To resolve this issue it is a very simple fix they just need to add the exclusion and the problem is solved it really is not that complicated. They are simply doing this to gain traction on properties that are new to there inventory that also happen to be all inclusive. Fix the matter or offer the all inclusive resorts for free until they decide to fix the problem!

I purchased a vacation package from Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC) and the receipt informed me of the additional price of the negotiated fee to be paid to the resort. Instead of the negotiated $190.00 per person per night, the resort charged me $280.00 per person per night. When I contacted AFVC the representative told me there was nothing they could. I asked for a supervisor, the supervisor got on the line, said "There's nothing we can do!" and hung up on me. What it should have cost - $359.99 + $1520 What it did cost - $359.99 + $2240 Difference of $720

I apologize for not submitting my response. I typed it and thought it went through. When the company called me, I said that I could not read the receipt at the time. I also said that I never noticed the section they were referring to.  If you notice the receipt that they sent me...I was informed that there would be a charge of $190 per person/per night. After the company called and told me where to look, the receipt has a jumble of info for the room minimums above the line that I thought explained what I am to be charged.

I never checked in with 3 people, so I thought I was being charged the $190 per person/per night. The room only had 1 bed, no sleeper sofa or anything else for a 3rd adult to sleep in. Everything in the room was set up for 2 guests... 2 robes, 2 water glasses, 2 wine glasses.... why would the minimum occupancy of the room call for 3 people if it's only set up for 2?

I contacted RCI to cancel our membership on 04/16/24 by telephone around 3 p.m. Mountain Standard Time in WY. Immediately before the phone call was finished a Non requested cancellation form was emailed to myself. The Non requested email contained a cancellation form that could not be filled out online or returned filled in electronically. Return of the emailed cancellation form would require myself to use my time to have it printed and address an envelope plus mail the cancellation form back! Like most I really didnt have time to print off RCIs required cancellation form therefore I requested a cancellation form to be mailed to me! I was informed there would be no included pre stamped envelope. My issue is my personal time should not be demanded by RCI to fulfill their cancellation policy! Why are Non requested emails sent but no offer to mail the cancellation form? I spoke with a supervisor that presented no explanation of why I was not offered to have the cancellation form mailed? I do believe that it is RCIs cancellation policy to first send Non requested emails with cancellation forms as I do have another such email containing a cancellation form that is dated on 02/20/23 (can provide proof of said email from 02/20/23.) RCI makes the cancellation process difficult in hopes that the customer will not follow through! While speaking with customer service on 04/16/24 I did state I was filing a complaint with the BBB. RCI Response That will change nothing.Very pompous and arrogant attitude supporting RCI cancellation policy/process

RCI canceled my subscription and took my points away. I did not receive a bill or any communication about being delinquent. They had my phone number and physical address, yet never sent a bill. I'm 83 years old.I feel that I was cheated out of points for scheduling vacations for my family. I wonder how many other elderly folks they have done this to? I paid a reinstatement fee but, I can't book a vacation because they have stolen my points. I feel RCI should have sent a bill in the mail or called to notify me that the bill was due. This just doesn't seem legal to take advantage of people. I've tried to have them rectify this matter but, my complaints go unanswered. The BBB my not be able to help me but, perhaps you can help others with these type of issues. I think they are preying on the elderly folks!

      Dear **************:

RCI's role in the timeshare industry is to provide vacation owners at affiliated resorts the opportunity to exchange their resort weeks or points for accommodations around the world. RCI points from *** membership have never been able to be used, thus far, due to my moms cancer treatment for the last 8 years that we have owned the *** deed. After 10K plus fees plus the $ spent to extend points, then $ to use the points two times in 8 years, we again, due to our circumstances beyond our control, have to face paying to save the **** points. I called **** today, going through our circumstance to waive the fees to do this, and he told me he cannot, but a supervisor would be asked, hang on the line for a while, because they are swamped. Why swamped? Any travel has to be done by 12/31 - so it cant be bookings?? Not helpful, not compassionate. Can someone assist?

I tried to access the RCI site using both my weeks and my points account. I was not able to. Further conversations and they said my membership had expired. They want $300 to reinstate out membership plus the membership fee. We didn't receive any type of notice that our membership was expiring. I asked several times for them to show me the notices they sent and they cannot which means they were not sent. We are willing to continue to pay the membership fee but the $300 is just a scam for something that is RCI's fault.
