    We hired a contractor to remodel our porch almost a year ago and they haven't even started yet. Their communication is poor and they have repeatedly pushed back the start date and admitted to skipping us on at least one occasion.

    Entered into a contract for complete siding replacement on 7/3/2024, contract noted work would begin mid-late August, 2024. Paid 60% ($15,058) down and work has not yet begun. Correspondence with owner is one excuse after another as to when they will begin.

    Paid for service that was not initiated or completed. Ongoing reschedule of project date by business owner to complete work. Initially scheduled for late September/early October . Rescheduling proceeded through July. No work initiated. We requested to cancel contract with full refund. Owner agreed to cancel and provide full refund, however, 2 months have passed and no refund (full or partial) received. This business owner advertised A+ BBB rating on their work vehicle.

    We are rejecting this response because: No resolution (full refund) received from July 2024 cancellation request due to year old work order with deposit and job not initiated.

    July 2024 a contract cancellation and full refund request (sent via certified mail) was initiated by **** and ***** *******. August 5, 2024 ***/DC Home Exteriors sent an email acknowledging the cancellation and refund on or before 8/30/2024. To date no refund amount has been received. The attached includes the cancellation details and email communication (8/5-24 - 10/22/2024) between us and ***. This includes us reaching out for updates (7) and ***** responses (15) over the course of a over a month and 1/2. To date no refund received, only communication related to delays in payment. This has caused financial hardship and delays in further updates to our home due to money tied to this project (down payment) since July 2023 (15 months).
