I took some clothing to Molly’s for her to sell on consignment. I returned to collect the checks for the things that she had sold. I returned after 90 days and was told by the owner that all checks were void after 90 days. I asked if the checks that she owed me could be re-issued and was told that her accountant would charge me $30 for each check that was re-issued. Although, she told me on a prior visit that her husband takes care of all of her business for the store. I feel she did not want to pay me because I had not been in her store for quite some time and used the $30 per check as an excuse not to pay me for my things that she had sold. I feel I should be paid for all money for my clothing she did sell and should also receive a printout of what all was sold and the prices that she sold them for.Business response

When I went it to pick up my money for my items that had been sold. I was told that they had sold my things but in order to get payment that I would need to pay $30 for each monthly check that they originally issued. She also said each check was just under $30 each.
I would also like to see a printout of what was sold and what was donated of the things I took in for sale.it is unfair to just keep the money for the things she sold that were mine and not get a re it’s of what happened to the items that I took in for consignment

In February 2022 I dropped off a formal gown and a cocktail dress to consign with Molly's. I stopped in a few times to see if the dresses sold and if I had a check to pick up. I was told they had not sold and I did not have a check coming. I went in over a week ago on Sept. 6th with the same inquiry. It turned out that the dresses are not in the store. The owner could not find them. She was unapologetic and actually snippy with me while searching around the store for them. She had customers waiting at her check out counter and needed to attend to them. She told me she would investigate this and call me, with no mention of compensating me for the dresses. I have not heard anything from her since. Because of the tone she took with me while trying to locate my dresses I am uncomfortable going back in her store to follow up. Since then I have heard occurrences of other person's clothing disappearing in her store. I feel she should pay me something for the missing clothing, but if I am not able to collect anything at the very least she needs to be reported for her business practices.
