Yes I went to see this vet back in February with my cat and they charged me over $600 and did nothing they even lost his blood they were just nasty and hateful to me and I don't feel like I should pay them for this so I would like to be refunded also today I contact him because my cat is again sick and I spoke to ***** the manager and she was hateful saying they would not see me again I just don't think this is acceptable they shouldn't be in business no they didn't do anything and I want to be refunded

There is no reason for refunding, we did the necessary testing with a signed estimate. Yes, the lab lost the blood, I have already refunded that money immediately (Feb 1, 2024). Also, on Feb 1, 2024 in text messaging that we have, I personally asked how the pet was doing and owner, ***** responded at 11:57 am with "He is better". Again, no need to refund any money. The reason for declining to see the pet on 6/10/24, was due to owner, ***** leaving a bad review on Google. I simply stated that we are obviously not a good fit. I informed the owner I would send her records wherever she would like. After all that, again in text messaging, she stated after all the harassing's through text messaging, that she used medications that she got from us before and the pet is all better now (again).

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: no my cat is not better... They charged me $80 for a exam fee for the whole year why can't even go back so I want that refunded also they charged me to go that day but they never stayed at that they told me before I went it would be $300 and it ended up being $600 they are horrible and they want to rip people off... The vet was an old man Dr ********* he should not even be practicing he didn't do anything I don't have any proof they did anything yes they lost my blood and they did refund me but I want the balance refund it to me and yes I'm left reviews I mean this place is ridiculous I read there was a dog that died from fentanyl overdose... Poor animals the poor dog died and they refused to see my cat one they would have charged me $600 again I'm not satisfied I want a refund and I also stated I would remove the review but I'm just going to keep adding to it ***** is rude and very unprofessional and I've already told five people that were their customers about this and so they've lost customers... My cat is not better they were no help they could explain maybe something that I could do but I never saw anything I never saw any piece of paper showing what they did and what the results were and how can anyone lose blood no my final answer is that they refund me the whole balance they didn't do anything they lied

      Sincerely,

      ***** ***

There is nothing further we can do, we treated the pet accordingly and as of your text messages, your pet was helped and better. We refused to see you because we were not a good fit for you and your pets according to your review you left for us. As for other reviews, like yours, you do not know the whole truth about these other situations. There will be no refunds made to you.

My dog started losing weight and developed an occasional cough. He started with diarrhea and I called Advent Veterinary Services. They gave me an appointment for the following day. I was told I would be charged $221 because it was considered emergency. It normally takes several weeks to get an appointment. Dr ********** came and did a quick exam. He was in the room less than 5 minutes. He stated that he had a "funny heart beat, but was it good and strong". Probably should get some blood work, stool check, cardiac work. He left the room. Tech came with an estimate for the labs. It was $572 and also included the $221 office visit. The labs were completed and Dr ********** returns for another quick 5 minutes to tell me he was slightly anemic and slightly dehydrated from the diarrhea. But other than that, quite normal. Told me he would call and check on him in couple days. Tech stated that " I know that's not much consolation since we didn't really find anything wrong with him". I asked what about the cardiac tests. She stated those were separate. My bill is already 879 for today. Would I like an estimate. She returns with another estimate for 671. Said when I was ready to set that up to give them a call. I never received the follow up call from Dr **********. My dog was not getting any better. I called several different times. Dr ********** was not in. To make a longer story short, I ended up taking my dog to Princeton Vet Hospital. They immediately realized his distress. Did X-rays and came back only to tell me that his heart was severely enlarged and he was in congestive heart failure. That this was not going to end well. They gave me several medications to try and turn him around. Unfortunately, my 5 yr old baby passed away the following morning. I called Advent Veterinary Services several times with no return response. Finally, when I requested a refund I got a sympathy call. Also "severe arrhythmia" and "critical cardiac work up suggested" AFTER requested refund.

On November 20, 2023, Dr. ******* first saw **** ******** for vomiting and diarrhea. After a detailed, comprehensive exam, Dr. ******* told Mrs. ******** that he had discovered some cardiac abnormalities that Mrs. ******** was unaware of and that **** needed a cardiac workup (EKG, Blood pressure, X-rays, ect). Dr. ******* would not have found the cardiac disease with the "5-minute exam" that Mrs. ******** claims she received. Dr. ******* does not only examine for the condition that owners are concered about (in this case vomiting and diarrhea) but does a thorough total body exam.

Three days later, Dr. ******* tries several times to contact Mrs. ******** to see how **** is doing. Despite his numerous efforts, the calls did not go through and was unable to leave a message.

On December 18, 2023 (about a month later), Mrs. ******** calls Advent to get an appointment because **** is not doing well. The vomiting and diarrhea have all cleared up by Dr. *******'s therapy, but now ****'s coughing, ect. is the problem, not gastrointestinal. Dr. ******* is not in that day and Dr. ***** offer to get **** in for a diagnostic work-up. But despite Dr. *****' efforts as well as the receptionist, Mrs. ******** refuses to come in.

On December 26, 2023 (over one week later), Mrs. ******** informs Advent that **** has passed away. December 26th is the first time Dr. ******* is informed of any problems with **** or Mrs. ********. He is out of town but notified by the receptionist. The manager was also out of the office so Dr. ******* informed one of the receptionist to continue to call Mrs. ******** from morning to evening to set up a meeting with the manager. After many attempts, the receptionist finally reaches Mrs. ******** at approximately 5:30 pm and for the first time, we are notified that Mrs. ******** can not receive any communications until after 3:30 pm each day. Our receptionist sets up a meeting with our manager and Mrs. ******** for the following week when our manager is back in the office. Since that time, our manager and Mrs. ******** have communicated a few times.

We feel tremendously sad for Mrs. ********'s loss of **** and how upset she must feel because of this loss but Advent has done everything it could to make Mrs. ******** aware of ****'s heart condition and its severity and the need for a work-up which Mrs. ******** never made an appointment for.

**** has been a patient there for 4 years and as this heart disease progressed, why was it not picked up on a well visit/annual exam. And I was informed that his immunizations would be 221. This quoted to me while dealing with his illness. Already paid 879 for I don't find anything wrong with him. And I'm expected to spend more money for more I don't knows. I didn't bring him to see ***** due to fact I was told my bill could possibly reach 2000. For what?  More I don't knows? I reached out for help with my ill pet and all I got quoted were costs. I realize nothing is free, but I could have at least been compensated something for the I don't know what's wrong with him. My beloved pet is gone. I NEVER refused to bring him in. Maybe if ******** had called the correct number on file, he could have spoke with me and or left a message. Receptionist was able to.

The last time we saw and examined ****, prior to November 20, 2023, was November 2022, a year earlier. That is a very long time in a dogs' life and it is not at all unusual for there not to have been a detectible heart condition from the year earlier.

All of our correspondence is directly from ****'s documented and permanent medical records that cannot be altered. All the information we have provided is 100% correct, accurate and truthful.

Mrs. ******** repeatedly refers to paying money and still not knowing what was wrong with ****. On November 20, 2023, Mrs. ******** brought **** in for gastrointestinal disease. Due to a very thorough physical exam, not only was gastrointestinal disease diagnosed and successfully treated but additionally, heart disease was also discovered. Mrs. ******** was completely aware of this. Documented. Mrs. ******** was told that she needed a cardiac work-up to ascertain the condition, the stage, and the treatment. Mrs. ******** refused. Documented. One month later, she requested an appointment because although the gastrointestinal disease was cured, **** was still not doing well. Advent repeatedly asked Mrs. ******** to come in. Dr. ***** offered to get her in and the owner refused. Documented.

Finally, Dr. ******* called the correct phone number over and over again. The reasons the receptionist was able to contact Mrs. ******** were for two reasons: 1. Dr. ******* himself directed the receptionist to call Mrs. ******** every hour from morning to evening to try to get through; 2. Mrs. ******** had not informed Advent until **** had passed that she could only be contacted late in the afternoon every day, and her phone would not accept messages as well. Documented.

As we have said many times before, we are deeply sorry for Mrs. ********'s loss, but Mrs. ******** was made well aware of ****'s condition every step of the way.
