This is regarding an issue that has arisen with Coventry Court Townhouses. I have requested a $1,279.99 refund from Coventry Court Townhouses due to the misrepresentation of the condition of their townhouse compared to what was shown online. Note that I am aware that the signed lease does have a “Sight Unseen” disclosure, however there is a substantial difference in the online photos vs. the actual townhouse as shown in the attached. Below is a timeline of attempted communication/correspondence: • 11/23/24 – Contacted Danielle, leasing agent, to express concerns with the condition of the townhouse. She disconnected our call and blocked my number. • 11/26/24 – Left a message for the property manager (name unknown). She called back and set up a conference call appointment for 11/27/24 at 4:00pm. • 11/27/24 – Called the office at 4pm; no answer. Left a message and did not receive a return call. • 12/2/24 – Sent email to Coventry Court Townhouses • 12/3/24 – Called and left another VM to discuss the email. • 12/4/24 – Called and left another VM to discuss the email. • 12/9/24 – Send certified letter next day air w/email info and notification that letters would be sent to Attorney General and Indiana Housing Authority if we didn’t get a response • 12/11/24 – Received an email saying I would get $1265.00 refund • 12/16-12/20 – Called several times asking for update on refund. Was told 45 days for refund even though I lived in the apartment less than a week. I am requesting your assistance to help us recoup the refund due as there is no reason they should be holding onto this money for 45 days. Additionally, somebody needs to look into how this place conducts business as it is totally unethical. See attached documents for more details. Note that I am a nurse at Lutheran Hospital and work a lot of hours, so I authorized my mom (Chris Streeter) to speak on my behalf. You will see her name in the attached.

We rent monthly from Coventry court townhomes. We had our toilet overflow while we were at work. We have a history of maintence requests from the past year about our toilet running. We got home and heard dripping downstairs in the kitchen. When we got upstairs the bathroom was completely flooded. The water came down through the ceiling and out of the light fixture. Theres water damage in the kitchen and dining room. Stains and cracks on the ceiling. Theyre refusing to do anything but paint over the damage. I am 4 months pregnant I cannot risk breathing in mold this is absolutely ridiculous theyre doing nothing. First they said theyd have contractors come in and get into the dry wall and now theyre just going to paint the stains over. This isnt a safe environment for my fiance me or our baby on the way. I am going to be contacting the health department as well.

August 2021 when I moved into Coventry Court Townhomes, it was a very hot time during that Summer and I informed them right away that my AC was not working (blowing warm air). It would get up to 80° in my apartment. When their maintenance came to look, he told me they had to order a part, that they would install the part, & that I didn’t have to contact them any further. They never came back and never fixed the AC unit. They also never respond to online requests and do not answer their “emergency maintenance” number. Fast forward to April 2022 to now. With the rising temperatures, it has been 80°+ in my apartment. Back in April of this year, I contacted maintenance once again to fix my AC unit. I waited a couple of days and nothing came of it so I went to the office to beg someone to look at my AC because living in 80°+ degree temperatures when their maintenance was supposed to fix it last year and did not ever come back is inhumane. After begging, the same maintenance worker from last year came to look. He said that a part needed to be ordered once again and that they would update me and the front office. Nobody came back until a week later when I once again had to beg them for answers. An office worker told me to open up a window and no one could tell me anything about this ordered part. They said they could offer portable AC units in the mean time and that they would come that day. Nobody came until I once again had to beg them to come a couple days later. When maintenance came to install the portable AC units, they said the entire AC unit had to be replaced. No one updated me on that nor did they update the office. I came to them about this issue in April and my AC unit did not get repaired until yesterday. It was so unlivable in my apartment that I could not even stay there in 80°+ weather. The portable AC’s and fans having to be on 24/7 skyrocketed my electric bill. The office told me that they could not help me. This is a health violation.
