I entered into a contract on 12/1/22 with RST Remodeling to replace an existing roof. The contract end date was estimated to be 1/1/23. RST did not complete the job until he sent me a screen shot on 3/1/23 showing that the **** had passed it. Because of numerous issues with workers I hired an independent contractor to inspect the roof. I have attached the report and I also have supporting pictures of the mess they made. I went back to **** and discovered they had not inspected it before passing it. Once they saw the report and pictures they changed the pass to a fail. The roof is not up to code. I have been told by several contractors the roof will need to be removed and redone. I have not been able to get ***************** - owner to respond to me. I sent him the report and pictures via text because he will not respond giving me an email. I am requesting termination of the contract (because he does not have any qualified workers) and reimbursement of the $10,250.00 I have already paid him. There is a $3,250.00 that was due upon successful completion (which is not going to occur). I have attached the contract, inspection report and supporting pictures.

***************** is not the owner of rst remodeling  and this should be directed to the company. This customer refused to pay the company as the contract stipulated. She kept saying g she wouldn't pay unless an inspection was done and then when it was she still refused and then hired a company to damage the roof, take pictures of the damage they did and then to tell her she had to do the roof all over again so the could pocket the money when we offered to fix any issues that the building department brought to our attention but she refused. If the customer chooses to go down an unethical path like this we can't continue to work with them and will be seeking our own legal remedies

I am rejecting this response because:

***************** was the Project Manager (the person responsible for a successful completion) and the only person i had any communication with. He is listed on the BBB site as the Agent and Principal of RST remodeling. I would like to know the name of the owner and the name of the person who formed the reply back to my complaint.  I have no problem adding them to the suit. I have copies of all the text messages between myself and ****. There has been no communication from **** since 3/1/23. After i sent the report with pictures to him there was no response. The project is not done it failed the permit inspection so technically I don't owe any remanding money to them. I did not hire a company to damage the roof. Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I would challenge them to provide documentation where they offered to fix anything since there has been NO COMMUNICATION. However, they don't have any ***************** employees so I'm not sure how they would even do it. I will gladly see them in court.

This customer provided the flooring that we installed for them. During the installation several of the pieces of flooring had chips in them and so we installed new ones. We reviewed the flooring at the end of the project and there was no chips or any other problems and they were satisfied and gave us the final payment. The flooring they chose was very brittle and since they have 5 dogs warned them that they could get more chips in the flooring with the bigger dogs. As well the contract states that if the customer provides the material, they are responsible for it, not the installer. Since they were happy with the condition of the floor when we were completed and we redid the flooring once at no cost, we have gone the extra mile to make sure the job was done right at no cost to the customer.
