Cottonwood Lake *** received a request for a status letter for a closing sale of a house from Centurion on July 7th, 2021, 4:24 pm EST, which indicated closing would be on July 23rd, 2021. Correspondence from the *** the following day, July 8th, 2021, 6:20 pm EST indicated that a letter would be made in the next few days. The following day, July 9th, 2021, 2:45 pm EST correspondence from Centurion stated that closing was moved up to July 9th, 2021 . The change in closing time, nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule AND the letter being requested <2.5 hours before Centurions close of business, was not enough time for the *** to produce a letter. Despite Centurion having knowledge of transfers process and associated fees, they closed on this property without a status letter being provided. After 3 weeks of *** emailing Centurion and getting no response, the *** has decided to seek alternative routes for resolution, including filing this complaint with the BBB.Customer response

Dear ***********************,
Yes, their was a monetary loss for Cottonwood Lake ***. Centurion circumvented any transfer/status letter cost by closing on the property without the ***'s input. Any response I've received has been through one individual asking both her "manager" and a "lawyer" to review. Neither of those folks have responded. Amazing how a business can demand something with <3 hours notice, but refuses to respond after 3 weeks. What's even more shocking, was after I described the next steps for us (filing a lien at 5x the cost of the status letter), they didn't seem to much care about their clients and how that would impact them.
If this BBB complaint doesn't provide a resolution, then the only option left for the *** is to file a lien. What a joy for a new homeowner!

I was unable to find out how to update the actual BBB complaint to say the matter has been resolved.
Please consider this email verification that the business never reached out, rather, sent the requested payment without any communication. If possible, I would like to withdraw the complaint or change it's status to be resolved.
