A&R have done multiple different jobs for my family and I! They have *************, remodeled my bathroom, fixed chunks of missing drywall, interior and exterior doors, as well as replaced siding. They do an excellent job on keeping the area clean, as well as cleaning the mess that was not made by them to make sure it looks good. They go above and beyond! Their work never disappoints me!! They take pride in what they do! What you want is what they give!

We hired this company to replace the sump pump in our basement. They installed a high capacity sump pump with a budget check valve. In less than sixty days, the check valve busted and was spraying water all over our hot water heater and water softener. The water caused the elements on the hot water heater to burn up, requiring replacement. They refused to come by and inspect their work or the the damage. They also refused to acknowledge their error, even after they were presented with direct documentation from the manufacturer of the check valve stating it was not compatible with the sump pump.We had to challenge the payment with our credit card and won. They proceeded to take us to small claims court for six times the amount of the invoice. They claimed that they lost another job because they didn't have enough money to buy the parts since the bank withdrew the funds from their account.Mistakes happen, but it is how you resolve them that makes the difference. This company does not stand behind their work, and they are not willing to take ownership for their mistakes.

This customer is very upset and now trying to pull our business name down. This customer had lost in small claims court and is ordered to pay A&R for services rendered back in February 2022. The Judge took an extra 2 weeks to review the evidence provided by both parties. The Judge ruled in favor of A&R as of no fault or guilt. The customers story has changed multiple times now. Customer has failed to state the full truth. He wanted an estimate to replace faulty water heater for a tankless water heater. ******** was traveling to ******* when we arrived at his home. His niece took us to the basement when it was in the process of flooding the basement. He agreed for us to replace sump pump. We provided an emergency service with out the extra emergency fee. We purchased a Ridgid 1HP sump pump and an Everbilt 1 1/4"-1 1/2" ABS In-line Sump Pump Check Valve kit (which on the ********** website shows these items are frequently bought together and are compatible). After communicating with this customer on my ******** page he has stated that the check valve is low buget. Customer has stated that A&R first installed it incorrectly, secondly then we installed it backwards with only one end attached and thirdly he states the the parts are not compatible with each other. All this was presented in small claims court and the Judge ruled on A&R's behalf. Customer broke his warranty with A&R but we tried to set up 3 different appointments with customer. The customer would not respond if anyone would be home when we would be able to come. He only responded when he arrived home. Which most people would communicate that those times would work for them. But he failed to reach out until 6pm in the evening. Which I have to plan around other customers I was working on at the time.

We asked for an estimate to install a tankless hot water heater, not because ours was faulty, but because we wanted a more energy efficient model. In fact, we had just had it tuned-up with new heating elements and thermostats. We had experienced issues with the sump pump, which is why we agreed to have you replace it. You choose to install the 1HP high-capacity sump with the budget check valve. You are correct, when I first reached out, I thought that the valve had been installed correctly. Primarily because you had a clamp simply clamped to a piece of plastic that wasn't holding anything. You said that you would come by on three different occasions. You claim that you didn't show because I didnt respond, even though I responded each day when I got home and let you know I was here. On the third one, I told you someone was here all the time, and you still didn't show. If someone was questioning the quality of your work, it seems you would go out of your way to inspect what was being questioned. At no point did you even call to see if someone was here.Because you didnt show, we had to challenge the charge with our credit card. My niece has a card on our account for house purchases. Even after hearing the charge was challenged, you made no effort to come by and inspect the part. This is an extensive process and required some additional research on our part. This is when we discovered that the check valve was designed for use with residential sump pumps only, *** 12 ***. The 1HP sump pump you installed pumps 711 gallons per hour at 30 ***.In small claims court, you told the judge that the *** only applies to the back flow pressure. When asked why the valve broke, you stated that you believed we damaged the check valve in the process of replacing the hot water heater. At the time, I didnt have any documentation to contradict that, so the judge ruled in your favor. Since then, I have provided you documentation from eight different vendors including manufacturers, distributors, and other plumbers stating that the *** *** applies to both the head and back flow pressure. We sent you an email from the manufacturer of the check valve stating that the two parts are not compatible. Yet you still refuse to acknowledge that you could have made a mistake, and you still haven't tried to come by and inspect the damaged part.As a contractor, you are in the service business. If the customer questions something, you should go out of your way to make sure they understand what is going on. The simple truth is, if you had made an effort to come by and have a discussion with us, we never would have challenged the charge. You did the work, yet you continue to look for ways to make all of this our fault. We are simply sharing our experience so other people don't go through what we did.
