The students at the Tricoci University of *********************************************** highland location found out (Yesterday April 10,2024) the school is infested with bed bugs, certain staff members knew about this infestation since the summer of last year. Tuesday during services a student noticed a bed bug on *************** a student in a completely different class noticed a bed bug on her as well. Certain administrators in the school told the students who knew & the student that had the bed bug on her Wednesday to not tell any of the other students or teachers. Due to students refusing to stay hush mouth about this the entire school was aware of the infestation and administrators quickly & embarrassingly told students that inspectors will be coming and do a throughout 8-10 hour inspection plus fumigation so the school will be shut down. Administrators texted students 5 hours after early release that it is safe to come back in school & that someone brought the insect here on their clothes.. Obviously! Instructors are currently telling students to bring minimal things & to wash their face *************** immediately after getting out of school We as students pay well over $15k in tuition plus add on classes, buying products, bringing our own clients in that pay for services, not having free or healthy food options & the food not being cheaplinen not being washed & dried properly, linen not being thrown away and switched out with fresh linen, the beds not being brand new & clean, the **************** room ceilings having ************ damage & now bed bugsAlso over the past 2-3 weeks the schools dryer set was broken so linens were dirty for weeks and sitting piled up in a small room. A teacher recently stole skincare products from an esthetician class, students have been stealing products, the director of administration got fired & replaced by her assistant last week, and ding ding ding WE HAVE BED BUGS NOW.Business Response

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We understand and share your concerns regarding the reported bed bug sighting and have thoroughly investigated the situation.
Please be assured that we take these matters very seriously and prioritize the health and safety of all our students, staff, and visitors. On Wednesday, within hours following the initial report, we had a professional extermination company thoroughly inspect our facilities. While no signs of bed bugs were found during this inspection, we proceeded to have the entire campus professionally treated and also conducted a deep cleaning to ensure any potential risks were mitigated.
Please know that we have never experienced a bed bug infestation at our Highland campus, nor have we at any one of our 15 campuses over the past 20 years. Regardless, out of an abundance of caution and understanding the continued concerns, we scheduled 2nd inspection by a different company the following weekend which again showed no signs of bed bug activity, nor any type of bug or insect infestation. Additionally, we had our cleaning crew perform a 2nd deep clean of the entire campus and have continued regularly scheduled deep cleans. These preventive measures are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment, as the school is treated regularly every month.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Tricoci University leadership if you have further concerns or require additional information.Customer Answer

Started attending the school 1/22/24 and starting 2/5/24 I started paying $1,146 every month so in total now it would be $3,438. I feel that considering my experience with having issues with the laundry being dirt and stained or never having enough for clients, or never have enough supplies, as well as now having bed bug issues I should not be paying this much money. Most students here pay around the same or more to go to a school that isnt adequately cleaned and that is not acceptable. Today the bed bug issue was brought up and the cancelled school for the rest of the day but now we are told to go back tomorrow, but no student feels that that is safe.Business Response

Im an esthetician student and today we were informed that the corporate of our school has been aware for the past 2 months that there has been bed bugs. The whole staff including students left early today @2pm cst, saying that we got bed bugs and another student also has a picture of a bed bug on her leg from the room they were found. Me with a long of a handful of students would like corporate to get inspected. Word also got around that they also never closed the school last year to irrigate for any bugs, so there needs to be a real Inspection done along with a follow up of a health violation on corporates part. As students we should get the hours were missing paid back in tuition & the teachers should get paid for the classes they are missing to teach.Business Response
