We recently moved out of the Lakes of Windsor apartments. We received our move our statement a few weeks later. We were charged for numerous things that we shouldnt have been. Such as an ozone treatment due to smell, a vinyl floor treatment for the vinyl wood flooring, a seal for them to paint the entire concrete under the carpeting, and to replace the entire apartment of carpeting whenever the only thing that was at all wrong whenever we moved out was the main bedrooms carpet was chewed from our puppy when he was accidentally left out of his cage one single time before he was fully trained. I called the office and tried to get information on why we would be charged these things. The property manager ***** laughed at me and told me how badly our apartment reeked of f**** We cleaned heavily, we shampooed our carpets weekly, I work with a cleaning business so I am very thorough. Our apartment would not have ever smelled. We were there after moving our belongings out to be able to clean thoroughly, our apartment did not stink at all let alone reek. I asked for explanations and to be able to explain why we wouldnt be responsible for these charges, the property manager sat here and laughed and told me she didnt want to argue. I told her I was not arguing, simply asking for the explanation for these charges and to hear me out on how this could possibly be from us. Asked if I could see bills to check the charges. I also asked the manager why we were being charged for the entire carpeting being replaced whenever the only issue from us would be the carpet in the main bedroom.

Thank you for sending this information to our community for response.  I communicated with ************** (prior to receiving the BBB complaint) and made an amendment to the charges based on our conversation. We both agreed that the truth is always in the middle of the 2 sides, so we compromised on the charges.

    Warm Regards,
