    I have been living at Lakeshore Apartments since December 2021. On April 23rd, my air conditioning stopped working, so I promptly put in a service request. A maintenance worker was by later that same day to fix it, but I was told they needed to bring someone else in and they would be back the following week to fix it. They did leave me a temporary a/c unit in the bedroom, but with my apartment being on the 3rd floor, it did very little to combat the 85-degree heat. I was not contacted about the replacement until May 6th, when a maintenance worker showed up to try to fix it again. This time, I was told that they had to order a new part, and they would be back on the 9th or 10th to fix it. By the 11th, I still had no working a/c, so I called the office in the morning and was told that someone would be by that day to fix it. I got home that evening - still no working a/c. It was finally fixed on the 13th, and I hoped that would be the end of it. Over the last two or three weeks, with the weather getting hotter, my "working" a/c has not been able to keep up, and my apartment is once again consistently 85 degrees. All residents of the complex were sent an email by the property manager stating that we should keep our a/c on 24/7, and to keep the blinds closed at all times. Even with this, it has gotten too hot. Eventually, I realized that my vents were blowing out a very weak stream of room-temperature air, so I submitted another maintenance request on the morning of June 22 requesting that someone come take a look at it again, and to leave another temporary a/c unit to help supplement the heat. I got home on the evening of the 22nd to find that there was a temporary a/c unit in my bedroom, but the air conditioning in the apartment had been turned off, and it was 90 degrees. I promptly turned the a/c back on, and it only blew warm air. I was not given any update on what had happened and why the a/c was turned off. At this point I am worried for my cat's safety.

    Hi-  The ** had 2 separate issues over the past month. The first one was addressed and during that time we did provide a portable ** unit for the apartment.  We did repair this first issue.  Consequently, a second issue did arise and we had the entire unit replaced quickly with in a couple days.  The new ** unit is running well and no further issues.  thanks.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me. I do think it's worth noting that I only received correspondence from the business AFTER the complaint was submitted, and I highly doubt the issue would have been repaired as quickly had the BBB not stepped in. Overall, still not impressed with their lack of communication. But thank you for helping the issue get resolved!
