I missed the whole "faith based" services tbh. I attempted to get my child mental health help here. I provided their legal name for insurance purposes - but put his real name first, the carefully selected, non-gendered noun they feel safe as. To my surprise, my child was deadnamed on the intake paperwork. I am shocked and horrified. My insurance was not validated - so the use of my child's dead name was not an accident driven by an electronic data exchange - this was 100% a choice made by a human being employed at this establishment. They chose to pull his legal name out of the line text - HIS PARENT - provided to them - because they don't care about helping him. If you got this far and still want to go here, the online application is also horribly set up. There is no way to book an online appointment. They do not answer their phone. Ever. It rings once and goes straight to voice mail. Haven't received a calll back yet so I cannot tell you if they actually respond when you need assistance. Despite their advertising, when you try to make an online appointment, you end up with a confirmation of an appointment at their physical location. There is also NO way to distinguish yourself as a parent or a patient. Do not put your child's phone number on, put yours, or your kid will be receiving requests for paperwork, and I imagine, appointment reminders and everything else. Any medical professional earning a living here is suspect, and should know better than to be complicit in transphobia. Out of the ***** community, the transgender community has the highest rates of suicide and violent victimisation because of this exact refusal to give them the basic respect all humans deserve. God gave us the Bible and the Ten Commandments. At no point in any translation is there literally one word commanding us to treat people poorly because you choose to believe their name does not match their chromosomes. There is no faith here, just blatant bigotry.
