I got a power chair from Rehab Medical in Dec 2020 The chair now needs service as the joy stick assembly is loose and falling off I have been calling and calling the number on the chair and no one answers or returns my calls calling the number on their web site says no longer in service I can't walk due to long running health issue. Can the BBB help me get my chair fixed so i can at least go to the bathroom without waiting for an to come and helpBusiness response

I purchased a power chair from rehab medical. In less than 2 months the chair has torn up twice. The first time they sent a tech out and he said it was the batteries. The company called me and stated Medicare would not cover the cost of the batteries and wanted 500.00 after explaining to them I did not have that kind of money. They called back 20 minutes later and said the insurance would now pay for them. Upon receiving the batteries I had some put them in for me. My chair worked for one day And sixths same thing. I notified the company and they stated Medicare would not replace the batteries the company stated I would have pay for another set. The chair is less than two months old and both legs have broken and it has quite running twiceBusiness response

I have a *********** wheelchair from Rehab Medical. My insurance paid for this chair for me due to medical issues I need it all the time. I needed it repaired because the arms were dropped down by the seat, a wheel has fallen off and it needs two new batteries. A technician came out and tightened the arms up and that was all. He said he would order the battieries and the wheel and they would be delieved to my home and a tech would come out and install them. I never heard from them and 1 and 1/2 months has went by. I call them to inform them my seat is swiveling and moving side to side. It has been over 2 months not had no one come to repair. No one answers the phone when you call during business hours. This place seems like a joke of a business. I just wonder if they **** your insurance for parts and labor and never do the work or order the parts.Business response

I received a *********** chair from Medical Rehab ***** **********. We had to wait some time for it to be approved by my insurance. They contacted me saying it was approved at 100% and there was no out of pocket expense. I agreed . Waited for them to bring the chair . When they brought the chair I was again told there was no out of pocket expense. Time went on no problem no bills. The chair broke . They came out looked at the chair, ordered the part. The part took some time to arrive it finally came . They came fixed the chair. Still no **** . Well after 30 days they sent a **** for ****** .I called them and asked why . They said we owed it and it was the deductible. I told them I wanted to return the chair and they said ok. I found the insurance paper and it said the claim had been denied and we didn't owe anything. I called them back told them the claim had been denied and I wanted them to pick up the chair and they said it had been over 30 days and I could not return the chair.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
They called August 9th. , 2021 and told me that they would pick up the chair ,but I would still have to pay for it . I told them I was not paying for anything that I returned and did not have. What I want them to do is come pick up the chair return any money they received from the insurance for the chair and give to me in writing the chair was returned and I owe nothing for the chair.
