I went to this business after being discharged from my chapter 7 bankruptcy. I was sold a 2020 Mazda CX-9 with around ****** miles already on. This purchase was in Oct of 2022. It is now August of 2023 not even a year later and I am $15,000 in negative equity. The person that handled the transaction at the time was later fired for using predatory loan practices in selling vehicles but the company will not help the situation I am in. Knowing that they know what the employee did and didnt do anything about it is very uneasy. I have tried multiple times to get out of this vehicle and I cannot unless I pay that negative amount in the vehicle. The vehicle was listed around $30,000 and he financed the numbers around $42,000 with a monthly payment of $883.83. I have reached out to the company to attempt in resolving the issue and was failed.Business response

Ray Skillman Northeast Mazda provided complete cost transparency with consumer. Our company has not let go of any finance manager under the terms of predatory loan practices. Vehicle ******* included along with consumer acknowledgement. Lender approval rate and terms, based on consumer credit worthiness were stated at the ultimate time of purchase. Vehicles negative equity would now be based upon market values, miles driven since purchase, and overall condition of the vehicle since leaving our lot.Business response

was a couple days late on carpayment because of work i told them i wud come in saturday around3 on my off day,they said it wasnt a problem,the woman called me threating to take my ******* told car i wud b there she came n took it while i was eating lunch on my way to make my payment, i called n asked can i ********** my car i had the money,she said she does not like my additute n i cant have my car back call her ***************** is over...so which means they broke the contract,i wud like to have my moneybackBusiness response

****************** was in breach of his lease contract; past due on payment(s) and didn't have active insurance. When the staff would call for his payment or to speak to him about his account/ he would use profanity. Our staff was professional when speaking to ****************** about his past due payments. The staff sent a text message to ****************** stating to give the dealership a call; when he called in we talked to him about his past due payment and broken promises to pay, he used profanity and told us to come pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was repossessed at ***************** while ****************** was trying to trade the vehicle in.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I tries to pay n get my car I didn't break the contract the ppl at dealership didn't like my attitude n didn't wanna do business with me. I do not want the car back,I wud like a refund but most importantly I need this off my credit.. I never missed any payments I was just running late u wanted to show me she had power to take my car because I wudnt kiss her ***..

Ray Skillman ran credit through several auto finance banks Nov 07, 2022 without my acknowledge, I was only aware and authorized for my credit to be checked and ran to one bank. And I would for all several of the hard I in inquary for that was reported on the day above to be removed.Business response

When ****************** came to our dealership, she was in need of a vehicle. She filled out the credit application and asked us to submit for financing. We were trying to get her approved through one of our lenders to try and get her a vehicle. We would have done her a disservice to only send it to one bank based on all of the different programs that banks have. If we knew she only wanted us to run it through one lender, we would have done so. It is also an obligation that my Finance Managers have to each customer that comes in and wishes to get approved for a vehicle that we try and get them the best approval that could save the customer money.
We relayed the information that we got back from the lenders we sent it to, and ****************** even sent us a possible co-signer that could try and help get her approved. Unfortunately, it did not work with the co-signer we had available. We left our communication with ****************** with her trying to find another co-signer we could possibly use, and we would be more than happy to try again. We want to try and make every customer happy, and it is not our intention to send out applicants to more banks than necessary without probable cause.
We would love to try again for financing if ****************** is willing to let us, and we get a co-signer that we can get meet all of her goals with.
