I purchased a motor from Jasper. The only reason I bought the motor was because the purchase came with a warranty. The motor I purchased failed. They were contacted about replacing the motor. They advised they could not get parts to build a new motor and offered a refund. The offer was that they would refund $3800 and if I sent the original core back they would then include the costs of labor. Implying that there would be no need to send a core back if I just accepted the $3800. After speaking with them again they said I would have to send a core back if I wanted any refund at all. I searched around for replacement motors with other companies. No other companies could get parts. So basically I'm stuck with a broke down truck or stuck with a broke down without a motor. After trying to make them understand that I cant sale a truck without a motor they still refused to honor the original deal.

i purchased through a dealer( fishtail boats) 2 long block engines and both failed within hours of the sea trial. the engines were installed in a boat. the dealer put the third engine in the boat (Mercruiser.) it works flawlessly. the dealer charged for the installation of both failed engines of the jasper company as they said they would not be reimbursed from jasper. i think the jasper company is on the hook, not fishtail but I'm not sure what a lawsuit looks like in this case. i paid all the bills and fishtail boats said good luck. i would like to have not paid for more than one engine to be replaced. in this case, I paid for a portion of 3 when i asked for one. how can a company deliver a broken product two times with no repercussions whatsoever?Business response
