I sent a Certified Letter on June 21, 2022 to Tri State Liquid Waste Attn: Ray P*********, as of today 7/8/2022, I have had no response from him. Copy of Letter ******* &******* ***** **** ****** **** **********, **** 45248 June 15, 2022 Tri-State Liquid Waste Attn: Ray P********* 4801 OH-128, Cleves, OH 45002 Cleves, Ohio 45002 Dear Sir, I have had problems with my septic tank failing inspections since you did some work on it back in 2020. I failed again in this year. I had *** Sanitation Service come out this time to look at it since I have failed inspections since you did work on my septic tank. They found that when you replaced the 40 PVC Pipe you installed in upside down which was causing me to fail my inspections. I am asking for you to reimburse me for the work that was done incorrectly. I have enclosed the bill from Ace and the pictures and bill from your company. I also sent him copies of pictures and a copy of Bill from ACE Sanitation to fix the pipe they put in wrong.

Please see that attachments and ******** County Inspection stating system is operating properly after our work was done. We did not replace the pipe between clarifier and upflow in any of our work and we did not install the part mentioned upside down in any of our work. ******** County approved our work as stated in their inspections "system is operating properly".  No refund is warranted, our work was approved by ******** County Public Health.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, reasons for rejection are included below.
In reference to included documentation (two inspection failure notifications, and the invoice from *** Sanitation), it can be seen that following the initial work from Liquid Waste that my septic tank did continue to fail inspections. Additionally, the invoice from *** notates the work done which includes the correction of an incorrectly installed pipe. As the work was not completed correctly and required service from another company I still wish to seek monetary compensation equal to either the initial work completed by Tri State Liquid Waste or the work to done by *** to fix the mistake.

    Regards,

The customers system passed the county inspection after our work was done. The additional failures are common with a septic system being used on a daily basis. This is why the county does annual inspections because systems that are working previously can fail in the future. Also as stated previously, the work done by *** Sanitation was not the same work done by our company and we did not install the tee baffle mentioned upside down in any of our work invoices. We replaced the discharge pipe from upflow to the broken pipe. They replaced from the clarifier tank to the upflow filter (different pipe). I am not sure why this was done because the failures from the county are maintenance issues (periodic cleaning required every 6-12 months on Jet system upflow filter) and movement in clarifier (usually a missing tee in aeration tank). The only thing on their invoice that could possibly be related to our work is the tank sealant on the discharge of upflow filter. The sealant was in place in 2020 but I will reimburse the customer $45.00 for the tank sealant if they have a picture of this item missing.

In summary, we cannot be responsible for septic maintenance or different problems that arise during use of the septic system at any period of time in the future.

The pictures provided do not change my previous statements or my offer. We did not install the alleged incorrect part/baffle installation and the reasons for failure from ******** County Public Health are maintenance items that are common with normal usage of a septic system that every homeowner with a septic system encounters.
