On my recent Bathroom remodel with Absolute Construction I had nothing but delays and excuses from Day 1 Absolute Construction Company originally informed me that this project would be complete within 3 months by their **************** It took 6 months before the started the job The Delivery Date stated within my contract was10.2024 Work was not started until ******* Failed Plumbing Inspection 3 times 2 5gallon bags of garbage left in front of my home on the grass for over a week and then they picked that up and a week later left another 5gallon bag of garbage in my bathroom Big empty boxes left within my home for over a week Left my Bathroom window open 2 times in the middle of winter When their company representative was installing the tile The tile was installed in a professional manner When I removed the vent cover the next day, the vent was full of garbage Absolute Construction continues to blame the Du Page County Inspector and ********** for delays They refuse to accept Accountability/Responsibility for the poor job that was performed within my home since something within their process is not working properly It appears that Absolute Construction is not even trying to improve or make future changes to prevent this from happening to others. When I suggested a recommend change, I was informed, Dont tell me how to do my job I was also informed on 01/14/25, when Absolute Construction started construction, that it would take 4 -5 days for completion. It took 6+ weeks All of these bathroom supplies ended up sitting in my front room for 6+ weeks which included an extra vanity top & sink that was delivered in error After the first inspection, I was informed by the Du Page County Inspector that they have had many issues with Absolute Construction. The Du Page County Inspector informed me they had contacted **********, in the past, to inform them of all the many issues previous Customers have had with this preferred ********** Vendor.Absolute Construction Inc.

Over the past year we have completed approximately ************** *************, ***This customer has signed off on the project as satisfactory which we are attaching to this dispute. For this particular project the county required further exterior walls to be opened up, insulation upgraded and then closed up properly before our actual expected scope could continue (which they also required further inspections for). For every component, we were required to have each stage reinspected. The county dictated the schedule and prolonged the scheduling for over 20 days between each stage before work could continue. We had no control in these delays as we wanted to complete this as much as the homeowner wanted as we were not paid on this project until the project was completed to the finish and the customer signed off at the end. We had no fault in any delays and because the way the county caused the hardship we did the addional work free of charge. We have documentation from the customer on the free work and satisfaction at the end. As this dispute should be removed based on facts.

5 starsI had a partial bathroom remodel done on my Mother's house through HD , let me say the house was built in 1934 and pandora's box was opened and the crew at Absolute took on the task and really stepped up from the demo crew(Jay and son) , to the delivery man Terrence (handled debris as well) to the plumbers( 3 different pairs all were excellent) and the wizard himself Gerard who was given the most challenging task of all , making the surround work , and that he did , the bathroom looks 1000% better thanks to the crew at Absolute , and the man behind the plan was Howie , if he was not doing the scheduling , he would be great as a air traffic controller , he had these different crews stacked one right after the other TO GET THE JOB DONE , kudos to Absolute for their professional handling of the glitches that occurred in the permit process as well , be for I retired I was a union rough frame carpenter and know all about the obstacles or challenges that can come into play and was quite impressed with the professionalism with everyone I came into contact at Absolute . BTW, MOM LOVES IT! I highly recommend Absolute 24/7 ,365Review fromCheryl L

1 starWe hired Absolute through ********** for a tub to shower conversion. Not bad until you run into an issue with one of the install, then it's a black hole of nothingness. No one calls back, text messages are not returned for days, and then you are told they "forgot to hit send" (not once, but on two separate occasions). It's been over a month since my shower door was installed wrong (5/16th off) and very visible with an untrained eye. The supervisor **** came out to inspect the work, and he too could see it with his eyes that it was off. I was told someone came to the house on the 26th, no one was scheduled & my ring cameras didn't record anyone coming to my home. Finally, after over a month, I was told that my walls are uneven. Sure, ok. When ********** escalated the issue to "****," he never returned my call just like ***** and his fantom text messages. Honestly, I wish I could have my old bathroom back. Instead, I'm stuck with a crooked shower door. I would never recommend absolute to anyone looking for repair/remodeling services.Review fromDavid M

Absolute Construction was absolutely the worst company and sadly I had a bathroom AND kitchen done with them. They start off with decent communication, but it quickly shifts to minimal to no communication especially when youre telling them something isnt right, but not before they send a nasty email reply. They offer painting and flooring installation for the bathroom remodel, but not for the kitchen, however those items need to be customer provided. I provided the flooring and bought extra for another project. The extra boxes of flooring went missing after they installed it in the bathroom and when I asked about them I got no response from the site manager until I emailed him, his boss, *********** and the sales rep, explaining I have cameras in the house and would be checking to see who left with it. Only then I was told they took it on accident thinking it was theirs. I 100% believe had I not had cameras in the house recording, and not CCd the others, those two boxes would not have been returned. The plumber they hired for the kitchen did a poor job, and was annoyed when he had to return to fix a leak, which he claimed wasnt leaking even though I had video of it doing so and could point to exactly where the leak was coming from. They also failed to protect my home, and themselves, from the drywall dust created when they removed sections of drywall. The house was built in 1956, so any of the original the drywall in my house contains ASBESTOS! I have pictures of the drywall and patent numbers on the back of the drywall as proof. They also didnt replace door trim they removed, didnt install the correct valves on the kitchen sink drain, and never worked for more than a few hours every couple days. They left huge gaps between the wall and cabinets and left shims exposed in multiple places. Both have since been completed but there are still issues that need fixing in the kitchen, however Absolute is not welcome in my home so I will be handling the fixes myself.Absolute Construction Inc.

At the time of this response Absolute Construction still continues to maintain a perfect A+ BBB rating. The customers comments are neither substantiated nor accurate. We maintained an open line of communication regarding the work we were contracted for. We have never sent a customer a nasty email as we pride ourselves in being extremely customer focused and professional.
Customer is accurate regarding some of the services offered regarding our kitchen program and bathroom program. We do not offer painting services for kitchens, nor were we contracted to and we completely transparent pre and post-sale.
All of the demo was performed to or above industry standards and all construction debris was removed at multiple stages of this project. We offer a full one year warranty on all of the labor performed in addition to any manufacturers warranty on product. Customer states we are not welcome back, but we certainly would have returned to correct any minor issues mentioned given the opportunity at no cost to the customer under the stated warranty period.Regarding the bathroom remodel the customer signed off on the project as completely satisfied over 9 months ago. Since the completed signoff we have not heard from the customer regarding any concerns.

*******,
You have signed a material review twice due to a color change, and a construction review once. The reason for the material review being sent/signed twice was because we couldnt find a beige Cimarron toilet in comfort height and elongated. We sent you the options of sandstone, and grey,in an ****** style toilet, which was the only style available with the color you were wanting. You then decided on an ****** toilet in Ice Grey. We purchased the toilet the same day we got your selection via email. We needed you to resign the material selection because of the change. After that, we sent the construction review which outlines the scope of work being done, as well as list the materials we are providing. Once we received both of those sign offs,we went to order your materials, but unfortunately, the tile you selected was temporarily out of stock but said coming back soon. We were waiting for your desired tile to come back in stock since it said coming back soon, but we then contacted you after waiting for a while. We suggested that you should choose a different selection of tile so that we dont have to continue to wait for the original to come back. In the meantime, we have received the rest of your materials needed for your project. We are now only waiting on a new tile selection from you, so we can order, pick up, and schedule to start your project.Review fromMildred J

Since October, ********** has been managing this project, but as February approaches, it remains incomplete. The process has been plagued by delays and poor communication. Upon the delivery of our cabinets, they sat untouched for weeks until we proactively reached out for attention. Even then, progress was minimal. After a prolonged wait, the company finally initiated the **************** and dispatched their electrician to rewire the kitchen, a process that dragged on for months. However, progress soon came to a standstill, and it became apparent that there was a lack of coordination and communication within the project team. When I contacted the project manager, ****, seeking clarification on their interactions with inspectors, his responses were vague, and promises to follow up with relevant authorities went unfulfilled. This lack of accountability led to multiple botched inspections, further exacerbating the delays.Additionally, when we received our cabinets, it became evident that some essential pieces were missing. Despite assurances of a prompt resolution, it took weeks for the additional pieces to be delivered, prolonging the completion of the project.Repeated attempts to follow up with the company yielded little results. Each time, we were met with excuses and promises of callbacks that never materialized. This lack of responsiveness and accountability has made navigating this project a frustrating and disheartening experience.Ultimately, the lack of proper communication and attention to detail on the part of ********** has transformed what should have been a straightforward project into a drawn-out nightmare. It's disheartening to see such a reputable company falter in their professionalism and customer care.Absolute Construction Inc.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to Absolute Construction. It's disheartening to hear that your experience has not met the standards of turnaround time and service that we strive to uphold. We understand the project had delays which are not all do to Absolute Construction and there are other factors outside of our control. Within a kitchen remodel, construction on an old home such as your, there can be unforeseen issues. Absolute Construction is not the sole party running your kitchen remodel and that isn't mentioned in the review. The local municipality also was a hindrance with the project timeline. Also, as you know the project was on hold do to cabinet materials having to be reordered and other products such as your counter tops. As discussed with the contractor holder of the project we are scheduled to complete this Wednesday 2/21. Absolute Construction did not do a remodel for this person but rather a family member.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to improve our processes and services.

In August of 2023, I started the demolition of my kitchen cabinets. There were some issues I had to address with drywall, and I did. The problem is that Absolute Construction would not work with me to correct the drywall before installing the cabinets. I had pictures, I tried to talk with them on the phone, no one would comply. So I had another company do the work (your loss Absolute Construction). Then the problems begin to start. The same thing described in ****** H review happened to me, exactly the same way. The problem is we pay in full up front but they add on for everything. When the cabinet installer put in the sink cabinet, he knew a dishwasher was right next to it and he didn't cut the hole to install the dishwasher. And, when the plumber arrived to hook up the water again, I had to sign a paper to pay the company to install the dishwasher. I wanted my dishwasher to work so I payed, but Absolute Construction never returned after that day and the cabinets are still not completed. They do not return phone calls and do not have customer service skills. What does it take to complete a job when you already have the money?Absolutely NOT Construction!!!!Absolute Construction Inc.

This customer's review provides some very contradictory information. In the review it was stated that "Absolute Construction would not work with me to correct the drywall before installing the cabinets" which is incorrect.Absolute Construction went out to the customers home before the customer purchased the contract to review the kitchen design and labor quote. Initially the labor quote was for cabinets only. During the scheduled visit, the reviewed quote was asked by the customer to add additional items including plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. Absolute Construction revised the quote to include the requested items. However, the customer only purchased the from the cabinet only quote. Absolute Construction can confirm this as the quote for plumbing, electrical, and drywall was created 6/19/23 and presented to the customer. The customer did not purchase the labor until 7/13/23. On 7/13/23 the contract was purchased, and the scope was revised to include only certain items.
The review then mentions dishwasher installation and drilling holes. The dishwasher was on the quote just not paid for. This is why Absolute had the customer sign and pay a change order. This change order was signed 9/16/23. Change orders are a standard practice when something is found to be an unforeseen and the customer requested after the contract was signed.
Absolute Construction finishes every job but only for the contracted work. All calls, emails and texts messages are always returned. This is why an A+ rating is held with the BBBReview fromsohail h

In May of this year 2023, we started working with ********** on a total overhaul of our Kitchen in our townhome in ************ **. ********** sent all the information to Absolute Construction. They looked at the finalized plans and applied for the permit which took longer than expected, not anybodys fault just the processing times at Village Hall. Beginning of July 2023. On the first day they did the demolition of old cabinets and sink, that same day a plumber stopped by and did some work and then for next 4 days no one showed up, finally an electrician stopped by and added an expense of $3000 plus which I approved and paid for the same day and ONE WEEK after that the cabinet installer came over and did the install, its a town home and he was done in 6 hours or so. The kind of the work they performed was not that good. As you can see in the pictures, theres a huge crack in front of the molding right up front and obvious, all the edges are rough and open, bottom molding is already chipping, drawers are either not opening or closing properly, there are faulty/drawer channels and shelf pins are missing, there are nicks on the front of the cabinets. Please note that I am only highlighting some of the issues, the huge ones. Absolute construction not only did a horrible job but also its hard or I would say impossible to talk to the right person there. You can call them yes, but the standard response will be that the right peon will get back to you which never happens or in some instances you will hear back from then in next couple of days. I am trying to get all that fixed BUT no luck yet. Friday last week Someone from Absolute construction stopped by to inspect and said that those are all cosmetic issues and some of them probably wont be fixed, I hope he was kidding because those are not cosmetic issues. I also reached out to ********** and still No resolution. Total Waste of money and time .Absolute Construction Inc.

Hussain ******************** Response
We conducted a management site visit with the partnership of **** ***** and determined that the issues raised by ****************** were at no fault of Absolute Construction based on pictures of post install were issues stemming from the flooring contractors the customer had working after cabinet installation. We collectively were still able to develop a game plan moving forward to correct any and all issues derived from the damages incurred by others. Our relationship with the cabinet manufacturers gives us the ability to help this customer out regardless of fault or cause.
The timeline of this kitchen was done in under only a few weeks from start of demo to finished kitchen, the cabinet ordering, production, and delivery are out of Absolute Constructions control. The permits and inspectors schedule are also out of Absolute Constructions control. The project was done in a manner of efficiency and of the highest quality.
After our recent visit to the customers home, we hope all issues are completely resolved with the agreed upon solutions by all parties. We thank him for his business and hope this review is removed as we shouldnt be held in bad regard for issues beyond our control.
