      8/27/2024 the old bait and switch. booked online great price. went to confirm reservation with delta airlines no such record. i called one dollar fly tried to sell me another ticket for more than double original price of ticket what a rip off !!

      Dear Better Business Bureau and *********************************,

      We appreciate the opportunity to address the concerns raised in Complaint ID ******** regarding ********************** booking under reference number ODF19212. We value transparency in our booking process and would like to provide a detailed clarification regarding the situation.

      *Booking Process and Communication*  
      When ****************** made the booking through our platform, the selected fare was at a discounted rate, but it was subject to availability with the airline. At the time the booking was placed, the fare was not immediately confirmed as the airline inventory for the discounted fare was extremely limited. As such, the booking status remained in "pending" mode while we attempted to confirm the fare with the airline.

      Upon realizing that the discounted fare was unavailable, our agent promptly reached out to ****************** to inform him of the situation. We clearly communicated that the fare he had initially selected was no longer available and provided him with an alternative option at a higher fare with a different airline. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused and regret that we were unable to secure the originally quoted fare.

      *Cancellation and Refund Clarification*  
      After our agent explained the situation, ****************** declined to accept the alternative fare. Following this, his booking was cancelled, and a cancellation confirmation email was sent to him. It is important to note that no charges were made to ********************** credit card ending in 5605 for the amount of $267.18 or any other amount. Since no payment was processed, there is no basis for a refund. 

      We want to emphasize that at no point during this transaction was ********************** credit card charged, nor was there any attempt to process payment for the cancelled booking. We strive to maintain a high level of integrity in our business practices, and this situation does not constitute a "bait and switch" tactic as alleged in the complaint. The inability to confirm the fare was simply due to the unavailability of inventory, which was promptly communicated.

      *Conclusion*  
      We understand how this situation might have led to frustration, and we apologize for any inconvenience it caused. However, since no amount was charged to ********************** credit card, the request for a refund is not applicable. This complaint appears to be based on a misunderstanding of the booking process and the payment status, and we respectfully deny the claim for a refund.

      If further clarification is needed, we are happy to provide any additional details. We remain committed to providing transparent and reliable service to all of our customers.

      I purchased an airline ticket online from this business on 8/13/24, believing it to be legitimate. I quickly learned this is likely a scam. I do not want to be charged $192.71 for a flight that I will obviously not be on. I have contacted my credit union this afternoon to notify them of a possible charge I would like to dispute (if One Dollar Fly does in fact charge our debit card). This is terribly unscrupulous for any company to scam and rob ******* I simply wanted to purchase an airline ticket to visit my grandchildren for a week and get the best price possible. I realize $192.71 may not be a large sum of money to most ******* However, I'm in my middle 50s, work part time at a retail store and don't have a lot of money to spend. At the very least, I would like others who might be in my position looking for a good deal on airline travel to not fall victim to this dishonest company's scam. Shame on them for taking advantage of people!

      Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take all concerns seriously and would like to address the complaint regarding the booking made for passenger *******************************, from FNT to GSO.

      The customer initially selected a fare on our website for a flight with ****************** Unfortunately, that specific fare was not available at the time of booking. As a result, we promptly informed the customer that the price had changed. We provided the option to proceed with the booking at the updated fare, which required a higher payment. The customer was clearly informed that if they did not wish to proceed with the higher fare, no charges would be applied to their card.

      We would like to clarify that *no charges were made to the customer's card* as the transaction was not completed. The booking was subsequently canceled after discussing the situation with the passenger. 

      We are a legitimate travel company and take pride in offering transparent and honest services. We regret any misunderstanding that may have occurred but assure you that we do not engage in any fraudulent activities.

      If there are any further questions or concerns, we are more than willing to assist in resolving them.

      Although I am pleased with the outcome of One Dollar Fly not charging my debit card, their email response detailing their version of the event is NOT the way it happened and I take issue with that. There was never any offer of a cancellation in the conversation and their agent DID NOT call me back as he stated he was going to within an hour and a half time period. I was told I would have to pay an additional fee and book another flight. No other options were offered in the initial conversation. I am actually the one who contacted their company back. ***** picked up the call so I left a voicemail stating that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB, as well as disputing any charge made to my account. It was only AFTER I contacted the BBB that everything was cancelled. I am speaking up to set the record straight of how things really happened in regards to my interaction with One Dollar Fly.
