I purchased a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 Ltz from KC Motor company on February 13, 2024. The truck had 127,800 miles. It now has 130,000 miles (April 23, 2024) and needs an entire new engine. I have only put on 2,200 miles since leaving the dealership and ***** **** (owner) said "that's too bad" and I "should have bought a warranty". That phone call happened on (April 25, 2024). The truck had an engine light come on within 5 miles of leaving the dealership the day of the purchase. I returned and he assured me it was the oil pressure sensor and it was a very common issue with Chevy vehicles and said he would replace it. I have a feeling he just cleared the code and sent me on my way. The error code returned and I found that they had the wrong size oil filter on. I figured that was playing into the issue and maybe would solve the problem. It did for a couple weeks. I only drive about 6-8 miles a day for work and longer trips on the weekends. Longer trips is when it would consistently show signs of something wrong but check engine light would stay off or be on for a few moments and go away again. Naturally I thought it was maybe an electrical issue like maybe a fuse or wire was wrong. Not something that would indicate an engine about to die. I wanted him to take the truck back and trade me for another one of the same value; He denied. I asked if he would help replace the engine; He denied. I would love some help in getting my truck fixed but if that can't happen I at minimum want his business reputation to suffer and for people to know he is shady and to not buy a vehicle from him. He says he runs all vehicles through his shop before listing them but that's obviously a lie. I still owe over $16,000 on a truck that I cant drive now.
