I bought a 2005 Toyota Rav4 from them in October. I am a 66 year old female from Bethany, Mo. I paid $4000. I took it for a short test drive-it was on empty. I bought it and headed home - 100 miles. Before I got out of the city, the VSC Trac light came on. It had a low tire and I thought that might be the reason. But it used 3/4 tank of gas to go 100 miles. The next morning I took it to get the tire fixed. The guy who fixed it came out and told me the tie rod ends were bad and would have to be fixed to pass inspection. Then I took it to a mechanic about the VSC Trac light and he said the catalytic converter was bad. He ordered one and I took it in for that the next day. When I went to get it, He asked where I got it and what I paid for it and he said that I'd been screwed (different word, though). He said there was supposed to be 2 catalytic converters. The other one had been cut out and replaced with a pipe which was leaking. He showed me the brakes. (I had had him change the oil and rotate the tires, too because the kid who had fixed the tire said they needed to be rotated.) He said he had never seen rotors (?) so bad and the only reason the car had any brakes at all was that somebody had put new brake shoes on the bad rotors. (I think that's what they're called - or drums.) Then he showed me that the car had been wrecked and never fixed. The bumper was pushed back into the radiator and the 2 horns had punctured the radiator and were in there so tight that the fluid in the radiator hadn't ran out. And the radiator cap wouldn't come off. I had a doctor's appt that afternoon 50 miles away and I asked the mechanic if he thought it would make it that far. He said if I was careful and didn't brake hard, it probably would. I paid him $1000 for the catalytic convertor and drove 40 miles and the oil light came on. I stopped, dribbled a little oil in it. The light went off-I drove about a mile and it came back on. Had it towed back to the shop. My mechanic drained the new oil and it was full of metal shavings. He said the motor was bad. I called Korz, left a message to call me. No call. Wrote a letter-no reply. This vehicle was only fit for the junkyard and I am sure they knew it.Business Response

This customer threatened us with violence. The aforementioned letter in this complaint documented those threats and has been filed with the ****** ******* Police Department. We are all for helping customers here but when the conversion turns to one of violence and threatening the well being of our employees we are done. Violence in any form is completely unacceptable.
Furthermore, Ms ***** admitted to authorizing an incompetent repair shop to charge her in excess of $1,000 without contacting us first. It is our position that this shop performed shotty work which later caused the engine to have an oil pressure issue. Through her own admission the shop changed the oil and there was no mention of metal in its old oil. It appears her complaint should be on that shop that messed up the job. Clearly they did not perform the oil change correctly and allowed her to drive off with a severe oil leak. Letting Ms. ***** drive the car out of oil causing internal damage to it from their poor work and lack of attention to detail.
Had Ms. ***** returned the vehicle to us immediately, before threatening us with violence, we would've been happy to help. Instead she authorized a shop to ruin her vehicle with negligent and incompetent work and is trying to deflect blame upon us. Ms. Smith's complaint should be filed with that shop that ruined her car.
We hope Ms. ***** returns to our dealership so ****** ******* PD can arrest her with criminal threat. We do not tolerate violence here. Threats of violence in today's society are completely unacceptable.Customer Answer

Mr. Korz's response was the first time he has even acknowledged I exist and bought a vehicle from him. I have attempted to contact him since October. In his response, he has completely ignored the fact that the vehicle he sold me was only suitable for the junkyard in the condition it was in. He thinks he can ignore that he sold it knowing it had major issues and then accuse me and the mechanic I took it to of making incompetent repairs so that I drove it while the oil leaked out and it was not his fault or responsibility. This is what a man who has done something he knows is inexcusable will try to do to keep from having to admit what kind of businessman he is and so that he can continue to be that kind of businessman. In his desperation, he resorts to trying to make me look like the kind of person he actually is. I am no car expert - which is obvious by the fact I did not know junk when I saw it. But, I am smart enough to know that the things that I have spoken of as major problems with this vehicle are not things that he can claim were not present when he sold it or that they were not things he couldn't have been aware of because that cannot be true. They were visible to the naked eye to anyone who knows about mechanics. And although I'm a female and not mechanical, I feel somewhat ashamed of myself for not being a little bit better at seeing some of it myself. Mr. Korz knows what he did and he knows he has no excuses for it but, he is so desperate to cover his shameful actions that he blows a remark I made in frustration caused by his rudeness and disrespect, his lack of integrity and his deceptive practices into a ridiculous pretense that I threatened him violence. (I believe that his subconscious knows he is deserving.) Unfortunately, I can't do more than killing a few bugs and don't care even for that.) My story can be verified by looking at this vehicle. This vehicle was never driven without oil and it did not have an oil leak. The odometer will show it didn't even go 200 miles. The catalytic converters are obvious, the ruined rotors are obvious and someone knew they were putting new brake shoes on bad rotors so the vehicle would stop when the foot was applied. The tires were an obvious indication of the tie rods. I live in Mo. I'm 66 so, I've been using vehicles for 50 years. I've purchased several - all used. Never could afford a new one. In Missouri, used vehicles are sold able to pass inspection but, the buyer has to get the inspection. I assumed that was the same everywhere. I don't think it means I'm at fault for not knowing Kansas was different. In Mo., the car I bought would have been sold from a junkyard. It would be bought by someone who knew how to fix cars and it would be priced so the parts to fix it would be about what it would have been priced if it had been a vehicle suited for reliable transportation on a used car lot. The vehicle was priced as if it was fit for safe transportation. Even I would not by a vehicle priced as ready to be driven on the road without the likelihood of getting killed and then expect to spend more than even that before I could even drive it or license it. I would be happy to show this vehicle to someone because its easy to see that I am providing an accurate account of this vehicle and Mr. Korz is a liar and a cheat and he should have his license revoked. He is ruled by greed. I cannot drive it back and I can't push it and I won't pay to take it back but, he can come get it. Since I put a brand new catalytic converter on it, it has that much value in it. I have read all the other complaints people have written about him and I realize this guy has no conscience at all. Why doesn't his business record show how horrible he is? He's no example of Better Business - he's the reason it's going extinct.

I bought a used car from them in April. There was a light on and I thought it was tire pressure… it turns out I need new breaks. Immediately when I showed a friend it he had told me i had an exhaust leak. When I bought the car I did not bring my dad with me because he was busy and he knows a lot about cars so when I told him what was wrong he said both are safety issues and they can’t sell a car to me like that. I have tried calling multiple times, text messages everything has been ignored. I recently got my exhaust fixed because I was driving an carbon monoxide was coming into my car. When they lifted the car they told me they sold me a car that had the converter and O2 sensor stolen, and that it is illegal to sell a car without it. They also said it was professionally done because they replaced it with a pipe and welded it on. I am 20 years old just moved into my own place and had to buy this car on my own… it has been a real struggle trying to pay for everything that is messed up in it. I need help contacting them and getting a resolution. I have kept the recipes from the body shops as well.Business Response

At Korz Auto Farm LLC our customers are given every opportunity to thoroughly inspect and evaluate
our vehicles prior to purchasing. Peoples can bring whomever they wish to test drive cars and even have
the ability to take them for an independent pre-purchase inspection should they choose to. Buyers’
guides are posted in each vehicle clearly outlining the items covered under warranty and its duration.
We also provide a complimentary ****** history report as well.
That being said, on 4/18/2022 Ms. ******* bought a 2004 Toyota Prius with over 290K miles after having
test drove it. The car was sold for $3550 plus sales tax. It came with a rebuilt title which was disclosed in
writing at the time of sale. This was clearly not a new car, nor represented as one, nor expected to
perform as such. It was fit for purpose in comparison with similar cars of similar age and similar mileage.
The unit came with an express warranty of 10% parts and 10% labor on the motor and transmission only
for 30 days or 1000 miles, first to occur. It also came with an implied warranty. Over 3 weeks post sale
Ms. ******* called stating her car needed brakes and had an exhaust leak. Both of which are general
maintenance items not covered under warranty, express nor implied. Older cars, 18 years of age and in
excess of 290K miles may require wear and tear maintenance; brakes and exhaust being as such.
While we warranty the motor and transmission on every unit, we do not warranty general maintenance,
wear and tear items. It is also important to note this car was also sold 4/18/22 and the complaint was
filed 6/18/22. Well past our 30-day warranty period had expired.
Sincerely,
