I am writing to share my unfortunate experience with Robert Brogdon’s Olathe Kia regarding the service I received on my vehicle. I brought my car in for a multi-switch function issue that was supposed to resolve a persistent headlight problem, as my headlights kept going out at night, posing a significant safety concern. My car was in the shop for an entire week, and I expected a thorough resolution to this pressing issue. In addition to addressing the headlight problem, the dealership looked into a secondary concern, which ended up costing three times more than a quote I received from Meineke. While I understand that repairs can vary in cost, the dramatic difference in pricing raised red flags for me regarding the transparency of their service pricing. To my dismay, upon driving home tonight from the dealership, I discovered that the original headlight issue remains unresolved. I once again had to rely on my brights to make it home safely, highlighting the ineffectiveness of the service performed on my car. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the lack of resolution, transparency in pricing, and the safety risk I continue to face due to the unresolved headlight problem. I cannot recommend Olathe Kia based on my experience, and I hope that others will consider this review before choosing to have their vehicle serviced at this dealership.

I went into get an oil change on my 2011 Kia Sorento!!! 2 fridays ago!! Have taken my car there as long as I've had it, have never paid over $35 for an.oli change! The guy that wrote up my ticket was rude and spoke non chalant about anything I asked!! Didn't have the decency to call me by name , just bait for me when my car was finished....I was charged $90.05 for a OIL CHANGE,, why would I need to call and check to see how much an oil change is when I've been taken my kia there for years. Never dawned on me of the name Brogden' that the whole business was taken over, and to think I was thinking about buying me a new telluride from there....SMDH very disappointed and disrespected!!! Be very careful if you choose this place, they lie, cheat, and are very rude, Daughter went to buy a car there, nothing in stock, so she picked what she wanted, ordered it, they told her it would be ******************************************************* the meantime that was an ugly blue color. after 3 months and multiple emails asking where her car was, they kept telling her its not there yet. after 11 months she finally went in to see what was going on they told her they never ordered her car, so lied from the start, told her she has to keep the ugly car they let her use and pay for it. after years of saving and planning for a certain car, she gets stuck with some ugly car she did not want due to the incompetent employees, and the worst was ********************* the rudest, most evil, mean salesperson I have ever spoke to. Nothing but a *****! kept denying everything, refused to give her the correct car, charged her 900 for service fees, which no other dealer I have ever seen charge this outrageous amount, I have bought many new cars with no fees or less then 200. Hopefully *** is not your choice, nothing but scammers!!!! The biggest disappointment ever to treat a young customer like this and add all these fees and make her keep the loaner, because they didn't do their job and order her the car she been wanting.

A few of months ago we went into the dealership looking for a Carnival. The sales guy was helpful and said they have a deal where people can buy a different model while the Carnival is being built. Once the van arrives, we can return the car (which will not depreciate) for a full refund (including taxes which would apply to our new purchase). We went through the paperwork in detail with the finance person. We took hours reviewing through everything and asking very detailed questions. She explained all of the legalese to us and we were comfortable with the process. Our van finally arrived and we were so excited. Unfortunately it all went south once we started on the paperwork. Apparently the mark up on the Carnivals has gone up the past few months. While we did have a signed contract saying we would make the swap-the legalese made the numbers unclear and it turns out that the finance person misled us in the extreme (this is a place where we erred; I should have insisted on more in writing that we had). Instead of returning the Sorento (I am rounding most of these numbers) for the purchase amount ($42K + $1K contract fee (which was clearly explained would be returned), and taxes) and purchasing the van for $42K we had to return the Sorento for $37K, pay another $1K contract fee, and purchase the van for $45K). Pretty sure that is an $8-9K difference. The ** kept explaining that I just did not understand, and it was only a $3,500 difference. I kept pushing back and he finally acquiesced that I was correct - so in addition to using bait and switch tactics, he outright lied to us. When we asked if we could take 24 hours to think about such a big decision we were told that they would just sell the van to someone else after we waited 2-3 months. Pressure like that is obviously a big red flag!In the end, our options were to return the Sorento and be out nearly $5k in taxes and fees, pay the extra $8,600 for the van, or keep a car that does not work for our family.

My senior citizen parents purchased a 2020 ***********, and extended warrenty. Less then 1 year later the car is stopping on them and instead of fixing it they were 'swapped out' which basically meant sold a 2022 Kia ******* for $200 more a month then they were previously paying. This place should be shut down. Tried to complain to corporate but they are family owned with no family values. The sales manager is the worst just money hungry! Wish there was enough characters to tell my whole story but I will find a way to get it out to the public because I don't want anyone else taken advantage of like my parents.

I went to Robert ********* Olathe Kia to pay my end of lease agreement. They told me I had to pay a $3000.00 Pre Certification Price on top of the lease payoff amount. I explained to them that this was not in my lease agreement. They said they put this in all their lease agreements. I again told them it is not in my lease agreement. They asked when I leased the car and I told them in 2019. They then said Olathe Kia switched owners but still wouldn't honor my lease agreement. I went here because ***** website says you can go to the dealer to pay off the end of lease terms. I don't know if my payment by mail will get to *** in time before my lease end. We had an argument in the office where we both exchanged a few words with no name calling. The guy jumped up out of his chair and came at me stowed up as if he was going to hit me repeatedly saying "Hit me, pxxxy", about 5 times in a row at his door, in front of customers. I quickly left the building and will not be returning.

This dealership has many problems. Our main issues had to deal with "bait and switch" tactics, lack of professionalism, inability to complete simple tasks, lack of customer service, and an employee base that doesn't seem to care about customer experience/time. We received emails saying they had a vehicle we wanted in stock. We text and ask. We show up the same day and are told in person "Oh, we haven't had that vehicle in a while", but we have a few coming in. We decide to go with one of those. Try to pay cash. They act confused. Want to finance, so we agree to finance 20% of the vehicle. Finance manager wastes hours of our time, never finishes financing before we leave, insults me being a teacher, brags about stuff but refuses to listen to our responses, overall not a good time. We get the car, financing still not done 2 weeks later, but are told it will happen soon. A month later, no title, can't register vehicle. We call 6 times, leave messages, finally get a call back and are told it'll happen soon. I ask if we should pay cash and am asked how a teacher has so much money. I ignore the insult, ask him to finish the financing, he says it'll get done ASAP. Our credit is run again. My wife goes into labor. 2 days left on the temporary tag. We call 6 more times. Answering machine each time. 4 days later, tags are expired, no return calls. I start calling them again. Leaving messages. No response. I finally text the sales associate responsible for selling us the car initially. Ask him to help. Wait hours. I finally text and say I want the title ready, I'll pay the rest in cash. I get there, get the title, am taken to the Finance Manager responsible for the mess, he acts cool and tries to shoot the breeze, never apologizes, never finished the financing process despite running our credit and dropping our score from doing it multiple times. I paid 100% of the vehicle, which they uncharged $5k over MSRP for, plus admin fees
