Hired Justice painting on 6/1/23. They finally started work on 8/15/23. They were painting outside of the house front deck and back porch. Spray job was done good for the most part. They were in a big hurry to get done the day of spraying. The Hand rail and trim work was done 1st. I had issues with the. Color selected for deck and porch floor. I paid for another color, still not right. I let it go. When they said they were done I wanted a walk around inspection. Before payment found multiple issues. Most things I found they addressed, some they did not. Became a very heated discussion. I paid them $4201.00 on 8/18/23. I Received insurance payment and mailed the balance due on 9/11/23. On 6/01/24 I noticed peeling paint on deck railing and posts. Contacted company to ask if they warranty their workby text and sent pictures on 7/11/24. Reply was yes. Got nothing else. On 8/12/24 I resent pictures and asked what he needed from me to get problem addressed. He replied , he had been thinking about it had almost sent text. Asked if I had left over paint. My reply was no. He replied they would come touch it up. I replied Hope you will plan to do needed prep work. He said Don't appreciate your disrespect. Told you we would make it right, but thinking about not coming back after treatment last year. My reply. No disrespect intended wanted paint to last more then 10 months. He said going to send check for 50% refund on deck. By 9/2/24 still no check. Texted him about promised payment had not been received. He replied sorry, never sent it. Said he looked at quote and all they quoted was 2 coats of Ready seal.. and I had them oil prime and paint railing, that I got more than bargained for and he was not sending me anything. Sent picture of last page of quote. I went and got my final invoice and it clearly states ,under description on10x12 deck ,22 ft of handrail was to be 0il primed ,painted. Sent to him. No response. want it taken care of as he said He would.

We are a full service painting contractor with hundreds of happy clients.  We have no problem warranting our work.  Never in seven years of business have I refused to return to a clients house.  We completed ***** house last summer.  The initial quote was to stain the deck using ready seal.  **** told the painters on site that the deck was to be painted instead, and got the porch painted and the handrail oil primed and painted.  It took about 3 man days plus materials to do this to her satisfaction.

Occasionally we have difficult and rude clients, but this is the first time we have ever refused to return to a job.  I initially told her we would just refund half the porch but when I looked at the invoice it clearly says pressure wash and two coats of ready seal (see attached photo of invoice, painted porch).  When I realized we had already done so much extra for this client already for free, I told her I wasn't going to refund any of her money.  I stand by that.  I already got scammed by this client once.

I included the photo of the peeling spot on the porch as well.  This is a relatively minor fix, but I cannot work with people who demean, berate and insult me and my employees.

Our original bid was to stain your deck with ready seal (2 coats)  You can see this in the original quote attached.   Client convinced us to oil prime and paint handrail and paint deck floor a separate color at no extra charge.  Because this was a "free" upgrade not in original quote, there is nothing to refund.  I have also attached other photos of our work.  Our team did a fantastic job on this house.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:Justice Painting continues to say that I  "convinced" them to paint our deck for free. That is totally false. The fee for painting  rather the redi seal application  was never discussed.  The only reason Redi seal was talked about was because that is what insurance was paying on. Justice knew from the very beginning I wanted the deck railing painted to match the rest of the white trim.  Redi seal  was never on the job site. The writing of the quote and final invoice was done by Justice Painting NOT ME.   We paid them $7201 for this job. And We have peeling paint in multiple places. This is Our Home.     I requested a 50% refund or $325 from Justice Painting because that is what they said they would do, before they changed their mind. I'm very disappointed in this company and their desire to correct the issues we have with the peeling paint.

    Sincerely,
