In August of 2023 we had our roof replaced after a hail storm that occurred. We had a contractor from Shull come out to our house and we signed a contract stating that they would replaced the roof, guttering, windows and fix the siding after the storm. We paid our dues in order to seal this contract by paying half. Once the roof and guttering was replaced I hand't heard anything from them about our siding and windows. I had to call them in October to see where we were as far as the other projects since they had our money and we were told they no longer did siding and windows. We asked that we be let out of that portion of the contract and they obliged. We got our money back and went with another company. Fast forward to February 2024 and we noticed water stains and leaking in our kitchen. We called Shull and they sent an employee out to investigate. The worker told us that there did seem to be water damage in our attic and that he would put a water hose on the roof and basically flood it to see if he could find the issue. He said he didn't find the water leak and that it was probably due to an ice damm. On February 25th we came home to find that there was more damage to our ceiling and water leaks in other places from the day the worker put the hose on the ceiling. We had the owner come out the following week and he told my husband verbally that it was an ice damm but if it happens again he would replace that portion of the roof where it is leaking. That is not what their contract states so I tried reaching out to them with fail to see if I could get that in writing since it contradicts what the contract says. I did not get any response from them other than the email that I have attached stating that they are not responsible and will not help with fixing the roof. Our insurance paid to paint the ceiling and told us that Shull is responible for the roof which they refuse to fix.
