Customer service does not exist. The road representative harasses us. Products are not that of quality advertised. We pay contracted monthly and account balance INCREASES. When inquired on this, told not to worry we have their word the balance will be paid off at end of term and all extra charged money returned. Story changed to be returned by rebate for merch. Never mentioned and only explained when WE questioned. Requested account be closed and refunded. Told no and sent an email stating the closure and refund with my name on it and then told oops sorry it was a mistake. No bank to contact, no customer service, different business names. Don't know how much we've paid since billing only lists monthly amount $130 with no history.

      Dear Dispute Resolutions,

******* ******* ******** purchased a set of cookware and a set of cutlery from Dinner4Two, a New York based company, on May 7, 2022. Customers can pay for their purchase by cash, check, a major credit card, or a payment plan. Theresa chose the payment plan and submitted a revolving credit application. Celebrity Credit approved Theresa’s credit and set up an account for her on May 19, 2022, with her auto payments to start June 19, 2022.

Theresa’s first $130 payment declined and by the end of 2022, she was five payments past due with several declined payments. Theresa has only paid 12 of 19 payments due and has now defaulted on her loan with Celebrity Credit. Clearly, if a customer makes their monthly payments, their balance will not increase, but go down.  Her balance has declined from the original balance.

Because of declined payments, this defaulted account has been returned to Dinner4Two.

********* Dinner4Two representative has made numerous attempts to provide service and resolve issues, but ******* has refused service and demands only a refund.

Dinner4Two has assured us they stand willing and able to provide good customer service to resolve any issues Theresa has regarding her products and her defaulted balance owed.

      Sincerely,
      **** *****

      Dear Dispute Resolutions,

Thank you for the opportunity to respond once again.

Very simply, *** ******* ******** purchased a set of cookware and a set of cutlery from RP Health Spectrum, Inc., a New York based company, on May 7, 2022. At that time, *** ******** completed a credit application to open a revolving charge account with Celebrity Credit to pay for her purchase.

Because of nonpayment to Celebrity Credit, *** ******** no longer has a Celebrity Credit account, and her account has been returned to RP Health Spectrum. *** ********** balance with Celebrity Credit is zero and we are removing this account from her Transunion Credit Bureau history.

Any issues are with RP Health Spectrum, not with Celebrity Credit.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: I requested a refund for the total amount paid from date of purchase to final payment made.

I would like an explanation behind the meaning of no longer being a Celebrity Credit account and being returned to RP Health Spectrum. What is the difference and how do I confirm that everything to do with this account/line of credit (and all names/alias associated with this business) is closed and will not attempt collections? This should be removed from all credit bureaus, not just 1.

My issues are absolutely with all names associated to this company. Do not try to place blame elsewhere.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ********

The purchase has been paid off for 2 months but they continue to debit the account for the payment. We paid off the balance early to avoid interest on our interest free credit line and now they are continuing to pull money from my account . I have called and not been able to reach anyone repeatedly. We get scammed with the merchandise and now can’t get the payments to stop even though it has been paid in full.

Celebrity China & Cookware received this complaint on Sunday, February 26, 2023.  Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
Our records show that ***** ***** paid his Celebrity Credit in full on January 23, 2023.  We also found that his 17th auto payment of $120 was mistakenly ran on February 17, 2023.
We apologized to ***** for the error and refunded the $120 overpayment on February 28, 2023.
      Thank you.

I recently went to the bridal show on Sunday at the ********* ***** ** ******** *** I would like to complain about one of the venders, Celebrity China that was set up in a booth. I believe they are a scam. I received a phone call after the bridal show that we won a 3 day/ 2-night hotel accommodation and a set of crystal glass flutes that I would be able to get engraved on my own time from Celebrity China and use for our wedding. They told me to pick up my prizes from ******** ****** ** ******** ** at 8:30pm Monday night 1/30/23. When my fiancé and I arrived early at 8pm to pick up our prizes so that we could get home due to ice on the highways and living an hour away. We were told that we could not have the flutes or the hotel accommodation unless we stayed for the demonstration. I explained that we lived an hour away and the roads were getting bad and we would just like our prizes that we won so that we could go home. ****** the associate for Celebrity China started getting rude with me. She then stated we did not win anything that we were initially told over the phone that we had to sit through a demonstration to receive the prize and that the word Won was not used during our phone call. I told her we would have not driven an hour to pick up a prize if I would have known that this was a scam and that yes, the gentleman on the phone told me I had won and that when we come to pick up, they would be doing a demonstration but never said that it was required in order to receive the prizes I had won. ****** then got up from her chair and in front of several customers started raising her voice at me asking who was the representative that called me. I explained I did not remember his name but that it was a male gentleman. She went to investigate who the representative was that called me and in front of everyone there with her voice raised told me that it was ****** who called me and that I should feel bad because I just got him fired and that he was a great employee. She handed me 2 wine glasses (Looked like they came from dollar tree) that were not crystal flutes as stated on the phone that I won. When questioning her she argued with me that the wine glasses were the flutes and I told her they were not. Finally, she told me that the flutes were only for paying customers even though I was told over the phone that’s what I had won. Wrapped up in one of the wine glasses was the 3 days/ 2-night brochure for the hotel accommodation that stated I had to send in money in order to receive the vacation and it would take 45 days to get my confirmation back. At this point I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was a scam. I was ready to go but hoping that all the customers there would look up the reviews before purchasing anything from this company. As I started walking out because ****** was putting me more and more in an uncomfortable situation, I told her that I knew other brides that would be coming on Tuesday and I would be sure to let them know this is a scam and to read the reviews about Celebrity China before they come and she got mad …. started following me out the door rambling on and on telling me I was not a good person and that I had no right to do that. I thought she was going to chase me out the building but thank goodness she stopped and my fiancé and I proceeded to our car and went home. It was defiantly a hostile situation that I believe could have been way worse if it wasn’t for the 4 other couples being in the room when all of this went down. ****** was very rude; however, you could tell she was trying to watch what she said as she had other couples in the room that she was trying to sell to. The fact she told me I should feel bad because I just got ****** fired because I told her I was not told on the phone that the presentation was a requirement is horrendous to me. Needless to say, please google them and read the reviews. I read one review where they were pressured into buying stuff and then never received their prizes that they were promised they won after signing up to win at the bridal show. Another one states that the product is not non-stick like they promote to you when they sell the pans to you. Another stated that they were pressured into a finance agreement that was so high the payments after a year didn’t even make a dent to what they owed on the pans that they stopped using because the pans ruined their food. I’ve seen one review where it ruined a newly married couple due to the debt it puts engaged couples in before they get married. After further review of the 3day/ 2night hotel accommodation brochure. On the back it states “Activation form expires 2 years from the revision date located in bottom left corner of form.” The date shows to be 11/2019. When I google the number provided on the brochure it opened up more and more reviews about scams. One said the office is closed. Another said that his company bought over $100,000 worth of these brochures to give out to their clients in which they lost the $100,000 as well as 2 major clients and is now in a lawsuit over this mess. Celebrity China is a scam company. They prey on newly engaged couples from bridal shows and pull you in with FAKE prizes. You do not receive the FAKE prizes until after your purchase in which they succeeded in scamming you at this point because you bought product from them that is useless and they hand you the fake prizes they pulled you in with only after you make a purchase with them. They are handing out expired certificates for vacations and so forth where you send money with the activation form to the address on the form to receive a code that you can use to book. However, in some reviews I came across states that they were not able to use them because it would show all dates unavailable for anywhere. Some stated they never received their confirmation code. Another stated that the address provided on the brochure is not legitimate. I am absolutely disgusted by this. The reviews for this company, Celebrity China, go back over 10 years that they have been doing this and scamming engaged couples. When brides go to a bridal show they don’t go to get scammed. I feel bad for the other vendors that were there because they do not know that they may have lost customers due to Celebrity China pulling the customers in with false advertisement and scams. I do not think that Celebrity China should be allowed to be a vendor at bridal shows as they take advantage of couples and have been for years. Also now they have my information from signing up for the drawing to win the fake prizes at the bridal show. This is a concern to me as they are scammers so what else can they do with my information? My newly sister-in-law was also at the bridal show and received the same phone call that I received that she had won a set of crystal glass flutes and a 3day/ 2-night hotel accommodation. They call all the people who sign up at their booth and pull them in the same way by scamming engaged couples. I have heard horror stories from several brides. Sincerely, A concerned bride

Celebrity China & Cookware is very proud to be an A+ Accredited business with the BBB.  Regarding ***** ******** review, we have to respond by saying we are not in the wrong.
***** and her fiancé arrived at 7:50pm for an 8:30pm showcase interrupting an earlier scheduled showcase.  Our rep, ******, who was finishing the previous showcase with other couples, greeted ***** who said she was scheduled for the 8:30pm showcase, but the roads were bad, she lived an hour away (actually 23 miles) and demanded her promotional gifts anyway.
****** tried to explain the gifts, a pair of crystal toasting stems and a 3 day/2 night hotel accommodation, were given to couples attending the showcase.  Celebrity does give a cut crystal upgrade to couples who become customers.  Although ***** decided not to attend the presentation, she not only demanded the promotional gifts, but also demanded the customer crystal upgrade.  As ***** freely stated in her review, she threatened to try to hurt our company if ****** did not bow to her demands.  Certainly, by reading *****’s complaint, she is not afraid to make harsh, offensive statements.  Even though ***** chose not to attend the presentation, we are glad that ******, hoping to settle the issue, decided to give her the presentation gifts so ***** would not need to return.   Although no company is perfect, we do strive to do our very best to be fair and honorable with people.  We wish ***** the very best.
      Sincerely,
      **** *****

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: Celebrity China Cookware's representative called me to tell me I had Won the Crystal Glass Flutes along with the 3 day/ 2 night hotel accommodation. Not once during the phone call did he call them promotional items nor did he state my fiance and I had to stay through the demonstration to receive what I was told over the phone I had WON from signing up at the bridal show. We did not arrive at 7:50, however we did arrive at 8pm sharp. The sign hanging on the door said we could come in up to 30 minutes early. Although we may live 23 miles away, the road conditions were bad as I stated to ****** and what usually is a 35 to 45 min drive was an hour drive that night due to road conditions. When I told ****** we had to leave and we were just there for the items we Won, she was rude. Not only was she rude but she had told me because I showed up to receive the items I was told I WON that she would be firing one of her best employees ****** in front of all of the other customers that were present with her voice raised and a fierce attitude and told me it was my fault and that I should feel bad. When My Fiance and I went to walk out because I was feeling like I was in an uncomfortable situation because of how ****** was verbally attacking me, she starting following us out of the meeting room and down the hall. This was not okay! Before walking out she handed me a wine glasses that were NOT the crystal glass flutes I was told I had WON over the phone. She also handed me a brochure that stated 3 day/ 2 night hotel accommodation on it. However, after further review when I was able to remove myself out of the uncomfortable situation that ****** put my fiance and myself in. I found that it was not legitimate. Not only can I NOT use the hotel accommodation brochure but I feel personally attacked by ******. Not only was this a bad situation but when we stated we could NOT stay due to the road conditions and our safety getting home before it iced over even more she acted like she did not care for our safety on the roads rather than wanting us to stay so she could make another sale.
      Regards,

We regret any misunderstanding with a consumer.  Here is a summary of the activities with ***** *******
Our representative gave *** ****** the promotional gifts even though she decided to not attend her scheduled presentation.  She was not given the Customer Appreciation crystal, but Celebrity is happy to give it to her if she becomes a customer.
      Again, we regret any misunderstanding.
